If the auto settings are stable there is not really a need to change from auto.

    smth cheaper, smaller...

Patriot PGS AMD DDR3 Dual Chanel 2x2GB PGS34G1600LLKA
    amd 955be (stock for now)
    asus crosshair V (0813bios)

    PGS34G1600LLKA

What was the stock bios? 0404?! Only after update to 0813 i was able to use 1333 or 1600 and tweak with timings, before it pc didnt boot at all.
    And of course (BIOS):
    DRAM Command Rate: 2T
    CPU/NBv: 1,25v

    1600Mhz 7-7-7-20-27 (2T) 1,7v - stable (Prime95, SuperPI, 3dmark etc)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------
Small info: I did some testing on these and there is not high diference betwen cl9-7, i believe it can pushed up to 1800.

asus crosshair v formula (learning the mobo...)

Strang i have since last posting got rid of the Mushkin ram and brought some Vengence 1866 ram instead
    i can get then to run at 1866 @ 9.10.9.27 2T,
but my NB and HT link are at 1878
    this what i have
    Crosshair V bios 9920
    AMD 1090t @3874
    Multiplyer x16.5
    Bus speed 234
    HT link 1878
    Ram 2x4gb @1878 @ 9.10.9.27 2T
Do you think i can go higher or is my ram holding me back
must admit my old 1600 ram from mushkin seemed a lot more overclockable than
    these Vengence (red) 1866.

I`m having stability problems on two set off memory. The first one is this Memory:
    Corsair Vengeance 8GB Kit (2x4)
    Part No: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 1600MHz
    Timings: 8-8-8-24
    Volt: 1.5
(From the hedding of the treath, but i can`t find the stability base for that one. Is it forgotten??)

The other memory set is the same as wolfy "above" is tying out.
    Part No: CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9R 1866MHz
    Timings: 9-10-9-27
    Volt: 1,5

Using; Formula V, Phenom x4 975, Corsair H100 cooling. Have tryed raising cpu/nb to 1,3v on both kits. Not working ... If someone out there is using one of this kits I realy want the "stability" with settings posted.

    Mvh "Desperado"

Was having some memory unrelated issues (hadn't discovered D.O.C.P. mode) and found this thread so thought I should give back and share my set(s) now that they're up and running. Ended up realizing that 8GB wasn't enough so I got another set:

    2 x G Skill F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 2x4 kits (16 GB Total)

    XMP: 1866 9-10-9-28 @ 1.5V

They both run together using the xmp profile, which you can only use if you use DOCP mode in BIOS Extreme Tweaking(?). I never had the first set running by itself faster than 1600 MHz because apparently you need to enable overclocking way down the page in manual mode. You can probably tell I've had no time for this at all. I don't even have a single game installed on it!

I have not stress tested these settings yet but plan to soon and will update if there's any instability.

Any suggestions on lower timings vs. higher frequency for getting some margin out of these would be welcome.
