Hi everyone, So ive been playing around with my fx9590 and overclocking it. Currently at 260x20 = 5.2ghz and passes real bench V2 and runs Aida64 stresstest for about 10 or 15 min before i shut it down because i was just doing a quick check. Temps maxed out at 65c cpu socket temp, cores was less. Everything is on auto so timing is loosy goosy so i doubt its an issue and nb and ht are auto aswell. Im open to any suggestions and making this 100% stable.

That is looking pretty good, and unless you are able to change your cooling I suspect you are close to the limit. Temps are what OC that beast are all about.

Ah what a shame. I bought swiftech h320's triple 120mm rad would have sufficed.

Look you can give it a try, but they are very very hot processors and it is all dependant on the individual processor. Do make an OC profile of your current settings when you start that adventure. Makes life so much easier at the end of it.

If you are unable to put your VRM's under a seperate loop - which is highly recommended where the 9590 is concerned. You could always try the alternative and get a high RPM 120mm fan and mount it over your VRM's to help keep them cool. Fan choices are Scythe Ultra Kaze or Delta fans...they both push out insane RPM's..though are probably a bit noisy lol.

Thanks for the response silent shadow. I have a custom fan setup for the vrms just in case they get warm also have the rear exhaust fan swapped around to intake witch also helps blow over the vrms and then all that warm get drawn up and out the top. Here's a pic of what I did

Its not the most beastly fan out there, thats for sure. It was a cheapy 80mm fan for me to play with and make a bracket.

Not a bad little fan and yeah, I thought it looked a bit small for a 120mm lmfao

How much did that little fan drop your temps?
