What is Asus EC Embedded Controller ?

JackNaylorPE

Loading HWInfo64 I get a message that asks if I want to disable Asus EC Embedded Controller. It further indicates that leaving this sensor on can cause higher load and latency which can result in performance drops and impact system stability and offers to disable it. Like to know what it is, what it does and what benefits are either way.

That is the controller ASUS uses to report some of the temperatures and voltages. The warning about higher load and latency is only applicable when running HWInfo64.

Muchos Grassyass Praz .....

Is there perhaps a guide as to what the voltages are in utilities like Hardware Info and all the terms used in the Asus BIOS ... I mean some are obvious ... others not so much

I don't get it. Does it apply only when I'm running HWINFO or even when it's not runing?
