Hero won't auto sleep

Hi all,

Searched through some of the other sleep related threads but did not find what I'm looking for.

Computer goes into sleep mode just fine when I manually do so and comes out of sleep mode just fine as well. My issue is that previously it went into sleep mode automatically per my set power profiles (usually monitor turns off at 15 mins and computer goes to sleep at 45). Recently however the monitor turns off just fine but the system itself won't go into sleep mode and just sits there idling for hours. I've already tried switching back and forth through the different profiles and changing the times and nothing so it's gotta be something else unrelated to the actual power profile, I wouldn't think it's hardware related as the system has auto slept before with no issues.

It sounds like a network card/port or similar keeping it awake.

Try temporarily disabling it in Device Manager and see it will sleep.

I tried that and still didn't help 😞 I've tried resetting the power profiles to default settings and tried to run the power troubleshooter and it didn't find anything.

Check your bios settings for sleep.

Are you speaking of a particular section of the BIOS for sleep related settings? I looked through the BIOS and haven't been able to find anything specific. The BIOS is the only thing I can think of that I have updated in the last while.

I have the exact same problem as the OP and would very much like to find the solution.
Thanks!

I had this same exact problem and I thought I had tried EVERYTHING. I went through all my power setting, all my networking settings, all my startup stuff, all my devices, all my everything and then some. I wracked my brain until it gave me headache and it all came down to simply unplugging my mic/headphones from the front panel. Don't ask me how, but that solved the problem, for me. I hope it is something equally simple for you guys. Good luck.
