Xonar Phoebus 5.1 Speaker Mismatch

Almost every time before I play a game or load music/video, website I will hear a little pop in the speakers and find that Center audio gets moved to a different speaker and then all the other speakers don't match where they should be. Front left becomes rear left and so on.
To fix this I have to select a different speaker config and then select 5.1 again which fixes the issue.

Half a year waiting for drivers that will fix it and still nothing. So what should I do?

Unfortunately, that particular quirk has never been fixed...it predates the Phoebus, actually (I've seen it with the D2X I had before my Phoebus). Annoying as it's been, it's at least harmless IMO--though it's usually not that prevalent, at least for me. Once every so often (maybe every day or two), but usually not more than that...

I have almost the same problem but on my system the the sound switches always to the center speaker (5.1 speakers). Any solution for this problem?
