Raidr uefi bios

I have a RAIDR installed on an EVGA X58 Classified3 motherboard which only has a Legacy BIOS. When I have the RAIDR's BIOS set to Legacy, my system recognizes the drive, but when I switch it over to UEFI, it's no longer recognized. Is this because my motherboard only has a Legacy BIOS and therefore making the UEFI BIOS mode on the RAIDR useless for my current setup?

That is correct. Once you have set up your RAIDr in legacy you change over to UEFI as per the install guide and install OS
