Hi there, i cant uninstal GPU tweak or GPU streaming, i went into the folders to see if there was an uninstal 00 file and nope. Tried to uninstal via windows but the gpu tweak is missing from programs list and yet it works, the streaming tweak is in the programs list but when i choose uninstal does nothing. I then tried to instal GPU tweak again thinking it will put back any missing files but i get an instal error: INSTALLSHIELD: 1608: unable to create installdriver instance, Return code -2147221021

So my question is, is there a way i can manually uninstal, a guide online for this software etc ???

use revo uninstaller and look for asus gpu tweak instead of just gpu tweak.

Hi there, i did download revo before posting, but it wants to delete a **** load of reg files associated with it which i am worried is nothing to do with it in the first place ....

its ok to use it to delete reg files i do it all the time never harmed my system just select all and delete it knows witch one's automatically.

I used it, but i still get error while trying to instal GPU Tweak again, 1608, i think there must be a service hidden somewhere under a different name than ASUS or something, it just wont instal at all...

try bring up task manager and kill all asus process then see if it will install

Sorry for replying to an old thread but I am having the same issues here, I uninstalled GPU Tweak 2 because I wanted to install the new version "GPUTweak2_Ver1528_20170825".

But whatever I do i'm getting this message when i try to install the new version on windows 10 pro x64 on a x99 Strix Gaming mb:

1608: Unable to create InstallDriver instance.
Return code: -2147221021

I tried revo uninstaller and did a forced uninstall at the GPU Tweak 2 folder but this haven't helped.
I disabled any Asus service I could find.
Tried to fix the windows installer.

What can I do now? I hope someone here knows what to do.

THIS is the FIX :

-right clik and add compatibilty for Windows 7.
- install asus gpu tweak
