Subwoofer not being recognised in windows 8.1

Yea I brought this laptop brand new and the subwoofer isnt working iv been googleing the problem for awhile now and there

seems to be no sure fix, iv updated the audio driver from the asus website and down all the windows update, is anyone else having

this problem or can tell me how to get the subwoofer working, its plugged into the right slot and turned up in the volume menu, =S

find Realtek HD Audio Manager should be a hidden icon on lower right select 5.1 speakers then select optional speakers , hopes this helps or search in charms bar "Realtek HD Audio Manger "
