AMDA00 driver will not install - Times out

Motherboard: Maximus VI Hero with newest bios 1603.
OS: Windows 7 Pro x64

I'm getting a time out error when I install the latest "ASUS_AMDA00_ACPI for Windows 7 32/64bit & Windows 8 32/64bit & Windows 8.1 32/64bit. (2014/01/06)"

Any solution for this?

Yeah it did that to me too but I tried popping in the original Hero installation disk and when it spun up it automatically installed it. Might not be the latest version but at least gets the ! out of device manager.

In my case I didn't have the exclamation just unknown device so when I put the mobo dvd in it didn't do anything.

With the mobo disc in I unistalled the unknown device and then scanned for new hardware, AMDA00 installed without a problem.

Not sure how you would install the update from their website? because you have to have the motherboard disc in the drive,
it will automatically install the "Asus COM" service and this will get recognized as a "AMDA000" interface.

Thanks to Carter from ASUS Tech support for this info.

I tried loading from the mobo cd but no go. What did work for me was 11-08-2012 v12.14.17.909
It's an older driver but it's better than having unknown device.

I had the same issue. Go here and download the driver. It will take care of it.
