Good morning,

I intend to buy a G750JS-T4073H, but I have some questions:


  • How many RAM slots does it have?
  • How many SSD/HDD slots does it have?


This specific model is listed as having 16GB DDR3 RAM and 1TB 7200RPM HDD, but I would like to know if I can add more RAM and have a SSD as the primary hard disk.

I think you can upgrade the RAM and the storage. AFAIK, only the CPU and GPU are not upgradable. Since the G750 is equipped with Thunderbolt, I think it is possible to use external video cards.

4 DIMM slots, two of them are filled with 2x8gb sticks, the other two slots are accessible easily.

2 Hard Drive Bays - One for SSD, one for HDD.

If yours doesn't have an SSD in it, you can buy your own 2.5" SSD and fit it in easily with the extra Caddy that comes in your box.

SSD as your primary is 100% possible, and is in fact recommended. There are ALSO tools to help copy over your operating system (16gb USB needed) one of them being Asus BackTracker

For SSD's, many people like the Samsung Evo.

Thanks a lot for the clarifications!

I might buy this SSD (Samsung SSD 250GB 840 EVO SATA3) along with the laptop.

Hopefully, it will have an even more awesome performance. 🙂
