G750JM Touchpad problem in Win7

I have just bought the G750JM and thoroughly disliked the very slow spinner and the 8.1 so I have installed an SSD and Windows 7 and it is brilliant.
My problem is now I cannot turn off the touchpad with fn+F9 can anyone please help me with a solution as I don't like touchpads period and the slightest flick against it wrecks whatever I am typing or doing with the machine.

johdragon46, download and install SmartGesture, and enable the disable trackpad when mouse detected:

This download location has the newest version, for Windows 8.1, but you can try to install on Windows 7...

There is also an Elantech Touchpad driver, for Windows 7, I don't have that loaded so can't give you a screenshot, but it might have that feature as well.
