After this board had been with us for over 3 years and the last bios update was pushed out over 1 year ago, from personal experiences, which bios version would you recommend?

I am running a 2500k and gtx970, looking towards a low 4.x ghz OC. Currently on bios 2001.

All bios versions are stable, if you're not having problems it's not recommended to update your bios. A low 4.XGHz shouldn't be a problem if you have adequate cooling.
