Welcome to the forums RonanC
I will post back when I have some results, doing a review of the MATRIX right now.
great stuff, maybe this thread can be made sticky!?!
I am working on various performance metrics but since this is the Matrix owners club, thought id share some folding numbers and performance gains.
816, 900, 950, 1000mhz overclocks with GPU tweak and auto voltage lock.

nice results, I am in the process of testing my card atm will post results later
I see you can go up to 1.200 vcore on the last one, how are you achieving that the max I can go to is 1.150 ?
well if you increase your coreclock and you run a benchmark and it doesnt crash you're most likely ok. now you can test this by running games or stresstest with furmark which taxes the gpu hardcore. it should show you whether your gpu oc is stable. if not you can increase your voltages to add extra power to keep it stable. or just go the easy route and use gpu tweak and use the locked voltage and core adjustments which is preconfigured. you will still need to run stresstest to ensure its stability. you should be able to achieve 950-1000 on matrix. once you find a sweet spot you can try to lower your voltage to see where it will be stable at without using too much power/voltage

cheers for reply, Think I got a bad one
if I run anymore vcore other than stock my temps are hitting 95-100c even with fans on 100%
I dont seem to be getting artifacts when running furmark but rather a green screen followed by driver crash, temps are in the 90+ range when this happens, usually artifacts should appear first so I am thinking now that I may have a faulty card.
if I go anymore than 920 I have to up the vcore of coarse which in turn makes my temps go sky high, even using the locked-voltage and I set it at 950mhz and 100% fans I am crashing out and temps near 100c
this is the best I can do while keeping temps 85c
might try the h80 mod and see if things are better because I think its the heat thats holding me back, I thought 920 on stock vcore looked like it was going to be a promising card lol
hey guys,
I have been testing most of this afternoon and I have decided to rethink my overclocking procedures with this card, for anyone else like me who thought they had heat issues I no longer use FURMARK for testing and instead use UNIGINE 2.5 with 8x aa. FURMARK will overheat the GPU more than any game or benchmark will and will put the card to its thermal limit so unless under water I would not recommend using FURMARK.
My new results so far are :
850Mhz
1075 Vcore
Fans: AUTO @ 20%
Max Temp: 67c
I have reached the brick wall with the max volts that GPU Tweak will allow, 950 crashes while 948 is perfectly stable.
948Mhz
1150 Vcore
Fabs: AUTO@ 20%
Max Temp 70c
Next is to do some testing with upping the voltage on the board itself up to around 1180 and see where that takes me, after that I will mod the bios and push the voltage to 1200.
RonanC
Your able to reach 1.293v off the overvoltage on the board itself before modding the bios but thats alot of volts if your mentioning your alrighty having heat issues. My max oc are higher using 3dMark11 vs Heaven 2.5 but both will allow me full voltages and still keep heat under 61c without crashing drivers. Note ive also modded a H70 to my matrix but even so i was able to reach 1000core/max voltage allowed by the Matrix with stock cooling and keep it at 92c. I agree that for a Matrix card you should not settle for under 1000 core/max voltage AND have heat controlled to sub 90c levels.
My cards max was 1027 benchmarkable (heaven 2.5) but i can run the flyby at 1067 (perhaps higher-just happen to be where i stopped the slider) but crashes the drivers when i benchmark it. 3dMark11 allows higher coreclocks but not by much...for me anyways. Seen you mentioned the "MOD" lol, need some help with that let me know, ive done two cards now.
Here is a screenshot of my latest benchmark. 1015core/1.293v/61c max temp
Ive been a bad boy and did some modding on my card.......again
Removed the IHS....lapped everything....applied new TIM....Artic Silver 5....H70 for cooling
Now i know i may have a difficult time with RMA but ill just deal with that if/when i need to. It should be noted right now that once you see this you cant unsee it and it may create the need to try it for yourself. BE WARNED! This will most likely void your warranty.
Now i know your going to look at this and think....so what! or big deal! its just a dude cooling his gpu with a H70.....been there done that. Now if you look closely youll notice the razerblade there also...hmmm, whats that for you may ask.

Ill tell you what its for. Its so i can do this -this is where i void the warranty part. Notice the large rusty hammer...........cant be good. Purists may want to cover your eyes here.

OMG what have you done, your a MONSTER cravinmild......my word and the lord above what have you done child. There is no forgiveness for this type of thing, your doomed to ......... ya, ok, abit over the top i know. I like to be colorfull
