G73Sw is it possible to upgrade the 460m card?

    Hey all,

I was searching around but couldn't find any info on replacing the current 460m with another video card. I'd love to upgrade this card to a newer one if it's possible. I normally build PC's and the G73Sw was my first venture into the laptop world so I'm not 100% sure if it's at all possible.

    Thanks!

I think so but you need a special card from Asus. They have some sort of ass-backwards card connectors that only Asus makes. You could poassibly get something on EBay.

Ahh thanks. I tried to do some research but to no avail, no luck for me. Can't seem to find anything anywhere on a connector for it. I may just say the heck with it but if anyone has any other input please let me know

    thanks again

From what I'm reading, it's not easy to get the GPU chips to do something like this. That is assuming you obtain one that is compatible with your motherboard, BIOS, etc.
