When I first saw this mentioned I was in agreement but now that I watch the actual newscast it's not all bad. There was a registered sex offender in the costume so there is some merit. The sex offender registry is a joke for a variety of reasons but even if you were innocent you have to be a real moron to wear a costume and hand candy to children once you're on it. Unfortunately the general implication that everyone dressed as pedobear is bad is pretty typical of what Fox calls news but at least the one lady was smart enough to say that you should be aware of any costumed person interacting with your kids and not single out pedobear as somehow different.
