Stuck with code 3b and computer wont boot.

Good evening

I've been trying to use my computer but the mobois stuck with a "3b" code at the little led panel...

Asus Maximus IV extreme - Z
Core i7 3770k
16gb corsair DDR3 1600MHZ
R9 RADEON 290X

Welcome to the ROG forum.

I'm not sure if code 3b is pointing to the gpu or the ram.

Try clearing the cmos, if that doesn't help try with one stick of ram and make sure it's seated, remove the 290x and try with the onboard graphics.

A bios update might fix you too.

Edit: I just looked up that code and it seems it's a memory related issue.

code 3b = Post memory pch initialization is started.

I tried all those things already, at the end, i solved it removing the CMOS battery and it worked like a charm!
