I've posted this on different forums to maximize answers, and figured I'd post here as well since this is the ROG forums. Here's a link to overclock.net where I've gotten numerous responses in case anyone wants to see what has been asked/what I've done:

First and formost, here's my setup:
ASUS RIVE
Intel 3930k
EVGA GTX580 3GB in SLI
G.Skill 32GB 4GBx8 DDR3 1600
Corsair AX1200
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
WD Caviar Black 2TB
Currently in a new build with the X79 Chipset with SLI. Problem I'm getting is the drivers will just fail and reboot them selves at random intervals (TDR). This happens at idle and even when during load. I've been testing it with 3DMark 11. I've tried installs on both the SSD and HDD as well as using both GPUs individually and still get the same results. I've tried at least 5 different drivers (270 through 290)using a complete uninstall/install process, even installing just the driver and physix drivers as I've read on other forums. I'm trying to achieve a 3 monitor setup but it even happens on just one. I've also installed all updates for Win 7 in one build and one of just the mobo/video drivers (no Win 7 updates). Everything leads back to the driver failing. Apparently this is a common issue and while I do have a decent computer to use in the mean time while what seems to be a driver issue gets fixed, I would like to use the new one. smile.gif
Usually when it happens for me, it either just happens at once by the screen going black and coming back saying the driver failed and was rebooted, or I get artifacts/etc and eventually goes black. Although when artifacts do happen, the black screen usually follows right away. Rarely does it ever just sit.
Mainly I'm just looking for clarification. Is this a driver issue or something else? Could the fact that I'm not activating Win 7 cause the problem? Should I be looking at hardware (ie, GPU), or something in the BIOS?
Thanks!
