So I was installing Kodibuntu onto an old S56C Ultrabook I had laying around and I had forgotten there was a user password saved in my BIOS. Needless to say I am now looking for
a rescue password for 2016/04/25.

Thanks for any help,
Will

Welcome to the forums!

By 'user password' instead of admin password I assume you cannot even boot up the notebook without seeing a password prompt, but if you can, just tap the 'ESC' key at boot up to see the boot menu without getting into the bios if this helps at all.

Otherwise, ASUS does not normally release passwords, but if you didn't already know, you can always request an RMA to send back the unit for out-of-warranty service to clear the password and just wanted to make sure you were aware of this option.
Not sure if you happen to be near any ASUS authorized service centers, but you may also want to contact your local ASUS support to check into this.

Good luck!
