Issue

Using card from 10 months without problem, always with stix and manual parameter for the fan (and only the fan), 100 % speed at 50°.
Never went above 60°.

For no reason, have a big graphic glitch while playing Rust after 100+ hours without problem.

Since this moment, I have Artifact and crazy lag on Asus GPU Tweak, Google Chrome. I can launch DX9 bug with artifacts, lag and inconsistant framerate.
I can not launch any game with DX 11 or even use Chrome (Nvidia windows kernel mode driver xxx stopped responding and was recovered successfully + game crash).
The displayed GPU Speed in GPU Tweak II seems bugged (shows 119%, even if GPU-Z shows normal usage).

I tried everything posted online before formating (10+ hours trying to debug, reinstall old drivers, new drivers, DirectX, lot of library, etc...).
I formated, reinstalled every needed drivers and still have the same problem.
Did Windows Memory Check: no problem.

I could add screenshots for DX9 / DX11 games but you get the point.

I will post and try anything asked by any of you in 24h max. I really want it to work.

I ordered the card in USA at Amazon.com on August 25, 2015. I live in France. Too bad, I do not even know if I can use US/French RMA on this product.
If you know anything that can help me, from hardware / drivers / or just RMA, I would love your advice.

Thank you very much.

Hardware malfunction confirmed by computer shop.

ASUS CM "Justin" said that unfortunately they do not have repair center in France, which is 100 % false. He did not give me the next step to get it repaired.

Will update with ASUS exchange. I seriously hope that they have some real customer care.

Sorry to hear about the issue with your graphics card.

Based on the information it does look like the card is defective and will likely require replacement. Did you already try sweeping all the drivers with DDU and try older display drivers?

Please send me a private message with your full contact information (full name, contact#, and email) and I'll pass the details over to our local service team to follow up with the service team in France. I believe there's no global warranty for graphic cards but I'll have to double confirm that with our service team.

Thanks,
Bahz

Thank you very much for the answer Bahz.

Yes, I used DDU, then formated, then went to computer store to try the card on other hardware. Still have the same problem.
If there is no global warranty I will use US warranty, it is less convenient for me but wathever.

I will PM you my information as requested.

Have a good day.

---

Asus France told me to contact Amazon, they do not deal directly with clients.
Asus USA is not answering (I will open another ticket and I could be more lucky).

To be honest If the situation stays as this, I will never ever buy another Asus Hardware and I will share my experience.

Amazon.fr redirected me to Amazon.com.
Amazon.com pointed me to the Asus Warranty showing: "During the Limited Warranty Period, Asus will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any defective
component." which seems to mean that Asus should take my GFX Card. While sharing email answer and proof of non helping staff from Asus he offered me a 80% buyout option for the defective card. Which is great from Amazon, ty guy.

Still it will be very costly to replace it now that im in France. I just want a new one. I have 30 days to return it to Amazon.
What will you do? What do you think about Asus customer care?

did you know about the risk of zero local warranty support when you purchase from Amazon US? if you are savvy enough to buy from Amazon US, you really should already understand the warranty practice for most products (not just Asus).

in any case, TAKE the buyout option, once the GTX 1080 are released, and especially after the GTX 1070, you will be lucky to even get 50% back on your 980 Ti if you tried to sell a working used set.

I tought, that I could send it via Postal Office like with any company.

Asus was seriously not helpful, I never tought that it could happen with that kind of company.
They lied to me about repair center and I still think they lie to me about the fact that I can not send it via PO.

Lost one fan forever.
