Asus G74Sx Hard Top Replacement?

Hey guys,

I love this forum, gotten tons of help from you guys for my problem I once had. I used to have a very big problem with the keyboard lag as I can type very fast and the laptop wouldn't pick up on it, but I replaced the Bios with 203 and installed the ATK file and it fixed everything..

Just had a quick question. I wanted to alter the G74's hard top (the main top) into something likeasus_lamborghini_vx7_laptop_news.jpg

Like this. I know this is the Hard top from the older g53.....but I would love to replace the standard grey top with another colour like that! Or replaced with some kind of Asus Lambo hard top. Any of you guys know anyplace that has these tops?

Btw, I am comfortable with opening the parts up and doing it myself, it's just finding someone that sells the hard top part that is the problem.

I don't think Asus makes alternate covers, but I have seen custom covers on eBay. There's a company that makes "skins" of various colors and designs. Try searching there under G74...that must be how I saw it.

thanks for your reply Brody appreciate it. yes i've checked ebay but there's only surface "Skins" like carbon fibre stickers to apply over the top to give it a certain texture, but I was hoping for a completely different top something to customize the G74 even further like the lamborghini hard tops in the picture above.

Does anyone else have an idea if anyone sells G74 hard top customizable covers?
