Join ROG for gaming and more at PAX West 2017
PAX West 2017 takes over the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA from September 1-4. ROG will be there with cutting-edge gaming hardware, including our latest laptops: the ultra-thin Zephyrus and new Strix GL series. Visitors will be able to play games on demo and esports stations, experience VR multiplayer, witness the North American CS:GO round of the Join The Republic Community Challenge, and see popular PUBG streamer Dr DisRespect in action.
Our new gaming laptops will be joined by the powerful Strix GD30 desktop with GTX 1080 Ti graphics, plus the official debut of a custom mod that’s truly out of this world. You’ll be able to experience incredibly smooth gameplay on high-refresh monitors, get your hands on the Pugio and Strix Evolve gaming mice, and check out the Magnus microphone along with a lot more ROG gear.
We know PAX attendees aren’t just at the show to drool over hardware, so we’re bringing plenty of games as well. The demo stations will be running multiplayer Rocket League, Overwatch, and PUBG. And, if you’re interested in trying virtual reality, you can sling spells in head-to-head The Unspoken matches on two VR stations.
On Saturday and Sunday (Sept 2-3), ROG Stream Team standout Dr DisRespect will broadcast PUBG live from the booth. See Doc’s personality in the flesh as he takes to the battleground on ROG systems. If you won’t be at PAX, you can still watch the stream on Dr DisRespect’s Twitch channel.
ROG’s PAX West booth will also host the CS:GO auditions for this year’s Join The Republic Community Challenge. The tournament lets gaming influencers pick teams of amateur players to compete on the world stage. Returning North American team captain and ex-pro Erik “fl0m” Flom will assess amateur players’ skills and personalities before assembling his final team on Sunday. They’ll go on to face teams from seven other regions at the global finals in Sweden later this year.
