Maximus III Mod: K.3nny's PC-7HX
Power supply mods of shortening and sleeving cables are becoming increasingly more common-place, but more rare (and dangerous!) is taking the entire unit apart, custom mounting it in the 5.25" bays as well. Well, that's just what Dutch modder, K.3nny, has done with his PC-7HX project.
K.3nny moved the PSU to the top 5.25" bays to allow the bottom of the case to be retrofitted with a triple Magicool copper radiator. Then he modified the reservoir and bent his own solid acrylic tubing (including a handy guide showing how to do it properly in his build log) before finishing it all off with a Republic of Gamers badge to go with his Maximus III Formula motherboard.
The end product is beautifully clean, minimalistic and wonderfully color matched. We've picked a few choice pictures below.
