Some people (including myself of course) have an insatiable desire in building the most awesomest gaming rig the world has ever seen, and then trying to top it by acquiring more skills in order to make it possible. For others, who also love all the mods and scratch builds you see here on the website and social media but have no particular interest in the inner workings of a rig, there's nothing wrong with a gamer who appreciates great-looking hardware and simply wants to do what he/she does best - PLAY GAMES!
Here is a beast dubbed ROG GT51CA, it's the complete package; aesthetics, overclocked power, the latest technologies and custom cooling. Best of all, you can play any game you like to your heart's content. You don't need to know what goes on under the bonnet of a two-million-dollar supercar to appreciate it, all you know is that the looks are do die for, and the performance is out of this world. Well it's a good thing the GT51CA isn't anywhere near two million dollars.
At the heart of the 2016 iF Design Award-winning beast, lies a 6th Gen. Intel Core i7 processor overclockable to 4.6GHz without the need to reboot, up to 64GB of DDR4 memory overclocked to 2800MHz, and up to two NVIDIA Titan X graphics cards in SLI for the power to game in glorious 4K/Ultra HD resolution.
With great overclocked power comes great cooling, the Hydro Overclocking System includes a liquid-cooling unit for the CPU and dedicated air channels to cool the graphics cards, even the PSU (power supply unit) has its own dedicated airflow design. It would be a travesty to match all that power with a traditional hard drive, the only sensible thing to do is feature up to two 512GB NVMe PCIe SSDs (solid-state disks) in RAID 0 configuration for up to 3.2Gbps data transfer speed, which is up to six times faster than a standard SATA SSD. Booting up the GT51CA and getting into a game can't get much faster than this.

The striking design not only won the iF Design Award, ROG GT51CA was also bestowed with a 2016 CES Innovation Award. The attention to detail in every aspect of the design such as the turbine-esque air intake, aerodynamic lines and 8-million-color lighting effects over four zones makes you wonder if ROG was indeed designing a supercar. As any PC builder or modder would agree, immaculate cable management is essential and may take hours, though you can just leave that to ROG.
All the buttons, audio jacks, ports including two USB 3.1 (Type-A and Type-C) ports, and the optical drive are streamlined in design and easily accessible. For the audiophile gamer, the audio jack on the front connects to an ESS Sabre headphone DAC (digital-to-analog converter) with an amplifier that delivers high dynamic range (DNR) and exceptional signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for incredible sound whether in games, watching movies or listening to your jam.
A new innovation is the wearable ROG BAND, allowing you to activate an overclocking mode or access Shadow Drive which is a hidden hard drive space exclusive for personal data. There is an NFC sensor at the front of the case for the ROG BAND or other NFC-compatible devices. Optional WiFi and Bluetooth are also available.

ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces GT51CA
Gaming desktop features an Intel Core i7 processor with full-core Turbo Gear overclocking to
4.6GHz and dynamic 8-million-color LED effects across the chassis
KEY POINTS
- 2016 iF Design Award-winning gaming desktop delivers extreme performance, an aggressive design and gamer-friendly features
- Powered by a 6th-generation Intel Core processor with Turbo Gear; supports up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X graphics with 2-way SLI
- Dynamic 8-million-color LED effects across 4 zones on the chassis and front-ported audiophile-grade ESS DAC and amplifier
Taipei, Taiwan (19th April, 2016) — ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced GT51CA, a powerful gaming desktop powered by a 6th-generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor, with Turbo Gear for one-click full-core CPU overclocking to 4.6GHz without having to reboot. In addition, ROG GT51CA supports up to NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX™ Titan X graphics with 2-Way SLI for smooth, stutter-free
4K UHD gaming at over 60 frames per second. It also features up to two 512GB NVMe PCIe® RAID 0 SSDs for data access speeds of up to 3.2Gbps — up to six times (6X) faster than SATA SSDs. ROG GT51CA’s DDR4 2133MHz memory has been even overclocked to 2800MHz for faster boot-up and game load times.
Effective cooling for stable marathon gaming sessions
ROG GT51CA delivers efficient heat management for stable high-performance gaming sessions. It boasts a multi-zone thermal solution that lowers the system’s internal temperatures by up to 31%, even during heavy-load marathon gaming sessions.
It features the liquid-cooled Hydro Overclocking System for the CPU and dedicated air channels to draw cool air into the chassis for the graphics card. In addition, its power supply unit — situated in the bottom corner of the chassis — also has its own isolated airflow design for cooling.
Aggressive, award-winning design
ROG GT51CA has a bold aerodynamic-inspired design with aggressive, sharp-angled polygonal edges, smooth surfaces, and a fully-functional turbine-like air intake on its front panel. The latter features a pulse-width modulation (PWM) fan that draws air into the cooling system. Inside, a carefully thought-out design ensures perfectly neat cable routing.
ROG GT51CA is designed to impress, with dynamic 8-million-color LED effects in 4 zones across its chassis, and a preset OC lighting mode that is activated whenever the system is overclocked. ROG GT51CA’s bold design helped it win a 2016 iF Design Award and a 2016 CES® Innovation Award.
Additional gaming enhancements
ROG GT51CA boasts an ESS Sabre headphone DAC and amplifier on its front audio jack to give users incredible audiophile-grade sound. It provides high dynamic range (DNR) and low noise levels for rich audio with less distortion.
The wearable ROG BAND gives users access to Shadow Drive — a hidden hard drive space for managing personal and confidential data safely. ROG BAND can also be used to activate overclocking mode.
The ASUS-exclusive AEGIS II application lets gamers monitor system performance, record and edit gameplay with Gamecaster, and easily share their gaming experiences on social media.
