Released today the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini is a compact high-performance graphics card designed primarily for small form factor PCs with mini-ITX motherboards. The Mini features a dual-slot cooler design, and measures just 17cm long, compared with 24.13cm for a reference GeForce GTX 670. Don't let the size fool you though, the GTX 670 DirectCU Mini features a full GTX 670, Direct X 11.1 capable, graphics core and 2GB of GDDR5 memory. Small form factor PCs, mini-ITX in particular, are a popular choice for gamers and home users alike these days. Their compact cases are much easier to transport to LAN parties than a standard desktop tower, and stylish designs with comparatively low power requirements make them a perfect choice for home theater PCs. The GTX 670 DirectCU Mini is designed to maximize the potential offered by mini ITX motherboards by delivering high performance graphics to match the overclocked CPUs in boards such as the P8Z77-I Deluxe. It features a PCIe 3.0 connector and full GTX 670 core running at 928MHz base clock and 1,006MHz boost clock, 2GB of 6,008MHz GDDR5 memory, dual-link DVI, single-link DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. Despite the smaller cooler, the Mini can lower the graphics card temperature by some 20% (or  7.5∘C) when compared with a reference GTX 670, due to the vapor chamber being placed directly on top of the graphics core.  Also new is the CoolTech Fan; a blower/axial crossover design. Its innovative design produces wide-angle, powerful airflow that keeps vital card components cool while venting heated air through the back and top of the card. It also provides three times quieter operation, all within the tightest of spaces. Super Alloy Power capacitors, chokes, and MOSFETs are hardened against heat and stress, averaging 2.5 times the lifespan of generic parts, all this gives you the most stable graphics experience possible. Featuring an intuitive interface, changing core and clock frequencies, fan speeds, voltages, and power consumption targets are easy, helping get more performance out of your graphics card. Game-specific profiles can be created, which combined with effortless overclocking can help LAN party goers maximize performance for competitive engagements. Need extra FPS in a game?
