The RAIDR Express aims to continue ROG's pursuit of beyond-the-norm performance by using a PCI-Express based SSD solution versus standard SATA 6Gbps. As the SATA bus has already been maxed out, PCI-Express gives the more performance potential while still keeping to a low latency, system native interconnect. Another advantage is the ROG technical expertise behind the project means that it will be fully qualified to work on ROG and ASUS motherboards.
Storage sizes, full technical and performance specifications are due in the next few months as the RAIDR Express has some further testing to go before retail availability, so keep an eye on your favorite tech media or right here on ROG to see more.
