EK Working On ASUS R9 290X DirectCU II OC Water Block
EK Water Blocks has announced a new full-cover water block for the recently released ASUS R9 290X DirectCU II OC graphics card.
Based on the same full-cover design as most water blocks from EKWB, it will cool the GPU, memory as well as the upgraded VRMs (voltage regulation modules) on the custom PCB. It will feature a new 0.6mm wide micro-channel structure that will further improve heat transfer from copper to liquid, without sacrificing the low hydraulic restriction design, which also means that the new EK-FC R9-290X DCII will work with less powerful pumps as well.
The new EK-FC R9-290X DCII will be available in three different versions and EKWB will also offer an aesthetic backplate as an option purchase. The new EK-FC R9-290X DCII will also support EK-FC Terminal in case you want to pair up to four water blocks.
According to the EK website, the new EK-FC R9-290X DCII should be available early in February next year.
