CES 2016: ASUS Shows Off All-New MG 4K Series Displays!

At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, a new series of ASUS MG gaming displays with 4K / Ultra-HD (3840 X 2160) resolution was shown off, that's exactly four times the sharpness! It looks like this is the year of 4K, PC hardware and accessories have been gearing up for it for some time, and the prices are becoming enticing. Here are two gaming displays to get you excited! The 28-inch MG28UQ with super-fast 1ms response time to eliminate ghosting and motion blur, and the 24-inch MG24UQ with an IPS panel for wide viewing angles and outstanding color accuracy.

For ASUS MG28UQ, this 28" has a pixel density of 163PPI  (pixels per inch), and even higher for MG24UQ (24"). When running in 4K, the difference in detail can be seen on a 15" laptop (if you already have an ROG G501, take a close look at the text on the desktop), you can imagine how much of a difference 4K makes on a 24" or 28"! Compared to Full-HD, there's four times the amount of desktop space so you can be four times as productive (if only you had more hands). Open multiple windows for browsers, chats, videos, music and more, this is a multi-display setup without multiple displays! Admittedly, text may be too small and may need to adjust the scaling (to make the text bigger). However, for others who are fortunate to have excellent vision (like yours truly), you can utilize every inch of the 4K display and read your crumb-sized text in privacy because nobody else can. No longer will you open a picture file and all you see is seemingly a small piece of a puzzle, no longer will you open an excel file and need to horizontally or vertically scroll forever. MG28UQ 4K

MG28UQ features an ultra-fast 1ms response time to eliminate smearing and motion blur, and Adaptive-Sync technology eliminates screen tearing and choppy frame rates allowing you incredibly-smooth gameplay. Combined with 4K details, you may actually see the target clearly and not have to line up for that headshot while moving past the target ten times first.

ASUS-exclusive GamePlus technology puts an overlay on the screen for a heads-up display to keep you informed and focused. You can access GameVisual technology via a hotkey or OSD (on screen display) to customize the visuals, especially handy for games where there's low visibility and you don't like surprises.

For connectivity there are the DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4, and USB 3.0 ports for charging your portable devices or to use as a hub. The stand allows you to swivel, adjust the height, pivot and tilt the way you like it. And if a multi-display setup is the way you like it, these have super-thin bezels and a quick-release latch to remove the stand!
