Here's all the angles of the TUF Sabertooth X99:

On the rear side the steel fortifier acts as heatsink, connecting via thermal pad to the rear side of the CPU VRMs. The Fortifier primarily strengthens the board, making it almost impossible to bend when building your PC.

Here's how the Sabertooth X99 looks stripped of its Thermal Armor. Under the left-hand edge you can see the PCB isolation for the audio area. In the bottom right corner there's the M.2 x4 slot hidden beneath an access hatch. The included, but optional, 50mm fan sits on the rear IO to add additional cooling to the CPU VRM heatsink in more extreme (zero airflow/high humidity) environments.

Ten SATA ports (four double-up as SATA-Express) allow for big drive arrays and Dust Defenders for all the IO ports are bundled in the box too.
