Four World Records Smashed Using Rig Powered by ROG Rampage V Extreme and Strix GTX 980 Ti
Xtreme Addict who is currently world number-two in the HWBOT Overclocker League, built an insane rig using both the mighty ROG Rampage V Extreme and four Strix GTX 980 Ti in a 4-way SLI configuration to achieve new world-record breaking scores of 118492 marks in 3DMark Vantage Performance, 54806 marks in 3DMark11 Performance, 44444 marks in 3DMark Fire Strike, and 33716 marks in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme!
Never losing his cool, Xtreme Addict used up 120 liters of liquid nitrogen (LN2) to chill both the four-GPU pot on the Strix GTX 980 Ti and the pot on the Intel Core i7-5960X processor fitted onto the Rampage V Extreme.
"Handling five LN2 pots alone by myself teaches precision and fast reaction. Especially during 3DMark 11 and Firestrike Extreme there are moments when I didn't have time to look at the thermometers! To be honest I was positively surprised regarding this platform - Strix cards are really nice and can last really long when cold, which is really important with 4 cards near each other." - Xtreme_Addict
