ASUS Announces Strix 2.0 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset

Dec 26, 2014 Written by:ROG Article

Following the recent Strix 7.1, and Strix DSP in October, the family has a new member: the Strix 2.0. Key features includes two, huge 60 mm neodymium-magnet drivers that deliver immersive audio for gamers, cross-platform flexibility with support for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, smartphones, and tablets and a dual-microphone design that includes a detachable boom mic and an inline microphone, to best match convenience and performance to your listening environment.

On its cross-platform compatibility, the Strix 2.0 comes with the usual, separate headphone and mic 3.5mm plugs for PCs and Macs, then simply plug these into the included Y-adapter that converts these into a native four-pole 3.5mm audio/mic combined connector and a 1.5m extension cable, which allows the headset to be used with smartphones, tablets, and PlayStation 4 gaming consoles.
