Unboxing The Maximus V Formula & ThunderFX

It's very nearly here. I know it's been a long wait, but, in case you're wondering whether to pull the trigger on the ThunderFX version, here's our unboxing of the Maximus V Formula & ThunderFX OK, here's the box, now what's inside? No, that's not inside. That's the back! Yes, that's technically 'inside' but I meant through the top. Oh, there's a Diablo III mouse pad? OK, get that out first. Very nice! It's only bundled with the ThunderFX version by the way. Buy the standard M5F and your mouse will sulk. Finally! Now we're in! And here's your new Formula, Sir. Would you like a splash of watercooling with that? From left to right: user guide, case badge, driver and software disc, SATA cable stickers, metallic ROG transfer (unique to ThunderFX version) and a door hanger (also ThunderFX only). Six SARRRTAAA cables, ROG connect white USB cable, SLI connector (ROG branded no less), rear I/O panel and two iddy bitty Q-connectors. The mPCIe combo card comes pre-fitted with an 802.11n WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0 card. The other side has an mSATA connector for the appropriate mSATA SSD upgrade. The cables for the ThunderFX from left to right: Xbox 360 connector, 3.5mm extension cable and USB power and data cable. Connected up. PC requires just the USB cables, while connecting to a 360 or PS3 requires both aux for sound and USB for power.
