Tested: Strix GTX 970 DirectCU II At PCDIY
Over at ASUS PC DIY, they've put the new Strix GTX 970 DirectCU II on the bench to whirl Nvidia's new 2nd gen Maxwell through some benchmarks and overclocking.
Overclocking:
- GPU BOOST clock – 1300MHz
- Memory clock – 7600MHz
- Power Target – 110%
On temps:
"The reference card has operating temperatures under gaming load of approx 80c, The STRIX 970 featuring DirectCU II had operating temperatures under gaming load in the range of 65 to 68c! Keep in mind this is while being quieter as well."
And testing fan speeds:
"Under gaming we saw the fans ramp up to 41% in regards to their fan duty and this equates to approximately a little over 1000 RPM."
