The basic elements of liquid cooling is admittedly pretty simple and straightforward, but to implement it in order to work efficiently in a super compact environment with a detachable section that minimizes leakage is far from simple and straightforward. Not to mention the thermal solution required when liquid-cooling isn't connected.
Here's a two minute video on how liquid-cooling was implemented in the ROG GX700! It's hard demostrate exactly how liquid-cooling works in a GX700 even when you take the cover off since you can't see how the liquid flows.
