REPUBLIC OF GAMERS ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF ROG COMMUNITY CHALLENGE GRAND FINAL

The best of the best new talent from around the world went head to head as they were all flown to Dreamhack Monster Studios in Stockholm, Sweden for the Join the Republic community challenge grand final from Jan. 5th to 8th. Over 170,000 Twitch viewers tuned in to watch the Grand Final on the ROG Twitch channel as Team Europe (online), led by Polish pro-gamer Piotr ‘IzakOOO’ Skowyrski, won the very first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ROG Community Challenge.

Team Europe (online), led by Polish pro-gamer Piotr ‘IzakOOO’ Skowyrski, was crowned champions after defeating Team Nordics led by Maikelele 16-13 in the first game, and 16-8 in the second game of the Grand Final. For their great performance, the team also won a trip to Dreamhack Masters Las Vegas which runs from 15th-19th February, 2017.

For a bit of fun before the main event, hosts Pala ‘mantrusse’ Gilroy Sen and Lauren ‘Pansy’ Scott led the eight team captains — Mikail ‘Maikelele’ Bill (Team Nordics), Michele ‘zonixx’ Kohler (Team Germany), Yi ‘Luke’ Chun Tseng (Team Taiwan), Erik ‘fl0m’ Flom (Team USA), Willy ‘Skyyart’ Dias (Team France), Chad ‘SPUNJ’ Burchill (Team Australia), Piotr ‘IzakOOO’ Skowyrski (Team Europe Online) and Eric ‘adreN’ Hoag (Team USA Online) — in the Captains Challenge. They all got a taste of the new ROG G752VS gaming laptops with 120Hz panels.
