“We're used to Asus headsets sporting more features than we care to count, but the ROG Strix Fusion 300 is evidence that the firm has a deft hand for simpler designs too. Onboard volume control and RGB LEDs would have been nice, especially the former, but otherwise this headset ticks most of our boxes. Comfort is very high, even if it is quite heavy, and sound quality too is excellent and has clearly been a real focus. From a pure gaming perspective, I'd even say it's better than the HyperX Cloud and Cloud II, and regular readers will know that I don't say that lightly.”

The ASUS ROG Strix Fusion 300 is the first gaming headset in the Strix lineup. It delivers great sound quality and comfort. The virtual 7.1 surround sound is a bonus feature. And while it suffers from a weird echo, it still produces immersive sound during gameplay.

A tad pricey but gives you a complete package of a sleek design and quality balanced sound. 2 choices of ear pads for you to choose from which gives you options for long usages. However, the lack of an external volume control makes for uncomfortable adjustments only via software especially during times you need to make quick changes.

The Fusion 300 manages to position itself remarkably well with the already established competition. Although it does not contain a AMP or DAC, or other impressive accessories, the included package is not a disappointing one: the earphones have an excellent construction and pretty good audio quality.
