NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards have redefined PC gaming performance, and the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti continues the Ampere onslaught. It brings more next-generation graphics power to a friendlier price than ever. Whether you’re playing traditional rasterized games or enjoying the next-generation effects of real-time raytracing in tandem with NVIDIA DLSS 2.0, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is ready for blistering 1080p and 1440p gameplay.
We’ve put our own spin on five new GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards, each tailored to a different type of system build. Whether you prefer the unbridled performance of ROG Strix, the subtle solidity of TUF Gaming, the straightforward and sensible ASUS Dual and Dual Mini cards, or the unique style of the new ASUS KO series, there's a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card that’s right for you.
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 Ti holds nothing back
To match the groundbreaking power of Ampere GPUs, ROG engineers have redesigned the iconic Strix cooler from the ground up. The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 Ti takes advantage of our biggest and boldest air cooling system yet. It’s designed to fully unleash the potential of the GPU underneath at noise levels that barely rise above a whisper and operating temperatures that will make you shiver.
To achieve this enviable performance, we looked carefully at every part of the Strix cooler, redesigning each component to work better together in pursuit of the highest performance. We move air into the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 Ti’s massive 2.9-slot heatsink using three cutting-edge fans with our latest Axial-tech design. Higher blade counts, plus notched barrier rings on the outer fans and a solid barrier ring on the central fan, ensure that more airflow goes right where it’s needed to effectively cool every component of the graphics card without raising noise levels. A counter-rotating arrangement further manages turbulence at the intake side of the GPU for better performance.
Our comprehensive cooling philosophy considers not just how air enters the card, but how it leaves. The ROG Strix cooler’s full-length backplate includes a large cutout to allow more heat to escape directly into your system’s natural airflow path. A dual-mode BIOS switch allows you to choose a more aggressive fan curve in P mode for the highest performance potential, or a quieter Q mode that prioritizes low noise levels with only a minimal reduction in clock speeds. No matter which mode you choose, the ROG Strix card’s fans can stop at idle or under light loads for stealthy everyday performance. And our exclusive FanConnect II headers extend the graphics card’s onboard fan control logic to a pair of case fans, allowing your system’s cooling to respond directly to the increases in GPU temperatures that come with gameplay.
The ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 Ti’s style leaves no doubt about your allegiance to the Republic of Gamers. A full-length addressable RGB LED array on the card’s left edge can seamlessly join the rest of your system’s lighting setup with Aura Sync, and bold ROG graphics on the backplate passively catch the light from the rest of your system’s LEDs. Of course, LEDs can be functional as well as fun. We’ve included a sensitive voltage-monitoring circuit on this card to ease troubleshooting in the event of black screens or system crashes. LEDs above each power connector will blink if your power supply is unable to keep up with the large transient loads that modern GPUs can incur.
The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti blends strength and stealth
If the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 Ti’s extroverted personality doesn’t suit you, check out the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Our engineers marked the arrival of Ampere by buffing up the TUF Gaming series with an all-new cooler design of its own. The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is the latest to benefit from this upgrade.
The TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti’s stealthy look starts with a sturdy brushed-aluminum cooler shroud that’s inlaid with just enough RGB LED lighting to draw the eye. This shroud wraps around a beefy 2.7-slot heatsink. We keep air moving through this fin stack with three fans built with our proven Axial-tech design. A counter-rotating fan arrangement optimizes airflow at the intake side of the cooler, and dual-ball-bearing internals on each fan ensure long operating life.
On the back of the card, a full-length backplate takes a page from the cooling design of the ROG Strix card. A large cutout gives exhaust airflow more room to escape into your case’s airflow path. The dual-mode BIOS switch located aft of the single eight-pin PCIe power connector lets you choose fan curves that prioritize maximum performance or quiet operation, and a fan-stop function at idle makes your system all the more stealthy at idle or under light loads.
Brawn extends to the very core of the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. Top-shelf electrical components, including chokes, MOSFETs, and military-grade capacitors, are carefully selected to ensure reliable and long-lasting service in your system. Our Auto-Extreme assembly technology precisely picks, places, and solders each component without human intervention, and a 144-hour validation program ensures that each TUF Gaming card is ready for action right out of the box.
The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti Mini put plenty of power in smaller spaces
Although we’re certainly proud of their performance, we know that not every system has room for the massive triple-fan coolers that grace our ROG Strix and TUF Gaming graphics cards. For more compact PCs, the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti brings our tried-and-true cooling technologies to a smaller graphics card that’s ideal for easy building.
The Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is built around a pair of proven fans with our Axial-tech design. They move air over a 2.7-slot heatsink that balances enthusiast demands for high surface area with a shorter overall length that’s easily accommodated by many PC cases.
The high-contrast black-and-silver shroud design of the Dual RTX 3060 Ti looks great with a wide range of modern components across both gaming and workstation builds, and a subtle light strip beneath the ASUS logo complements any build. For plug-and-play power, you can’t go wrong with the Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
If you need to go even smaller still, the ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Mini graphics card is tailor-made for small-form-factor enthusiast systems that demand discrete graphics power, including the Intel NUC 9 Extreme and NUC 9 Pro PC kits. This card conforms to the strict two-slot height limit imposed by many ultra-compact cases, but it still integrates a high-surface-area heatsink under its shroud that’s cooled by a pair of fans with our Axial-tech design. The shroud boasts a wrap-around RGB LED light strip for that finishing touch.
The sawed-off ASUS KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti goes long on performance and style
The ASUS KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti boasts some of the enthusiast-friendly features and style of our TUF Gaming and ROG Strix cards and the broader compatibility offered by the ASUS Dual series. Whatever you do, don’t call it tiny. You might find yourself on the receiving end of a surprisingly powerful punch.
Like our Dual cards, the KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti’s cooling design starts with a pair of fans that are built with our proven Axial-tech design. The large 2.7-slot heatsink under the shroud is more than ready to cool the GPU silicon underneath, but the dual-fan design ensures that the card’s length stays manageable for smaller PCs.
If our standard Dual card is subtle, the KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is anything but. We spiced up the KO edition with gold and silver accents on the fan hubs and extended that color scheme to broad metallic faceplates on the cooler shroud. We then inlaid addressable RGB LED accents into those faceplates that can be customized or synchronized with the rest of your build using Aura Sync. An illuminated ASUS logo on the left edge of the card completes the lighting scheme.
Like its larger brethren, the KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti includes a ventilation cutout in its backplate to allow more of its exhaust air to escape into your case’s natural airflow path. The card also incorporates the dual-mode BIOS switch of ROG Strix and TUF Gaming cards to allow builders to tune its fan curve according to their priorities for noise levels or performance. If your build demands a graphics card that’s short in length but long on style and performance, the ASUS KO GeForce RTX 3060 Ti is well worth a look.
