The Dark Hero certainly has its charm in how it looks without any lighting – black and mean. All the heatsinks on the board are massive, utilizing vapor chamber technology and a heat pipe on the M.2 heatsink, while a single heat pipe also connects the two VRM heatsinks.

The black stealth design with subtle RGB makes it a true must-have choice for premium configurations. My personal opinion — a good motherboard is the foundation of a stable system, and that is why I am awarding this one the "TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION" recognition due to the fantastic implementation of the new AIO connector solution.

Asus has put extra effort into this new board, enhancing it with details like the embossed Dark Hero inscription on the first M.2 slot heatsink, or the relief glossy ROG logo on the heatsink for the remaining M.2 slots. The power delivery unit of this board is identical to that of the X870E Extreme model and consists of 20+2+2 phases, i.e., 24 integrated MOSFETs.
