The 2026 ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 dazzle from every angle

The ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 are enigmas. They’re ultra-portable, yet incredibly powerful. They’re subtle, yet stand out from the crowd. They game with the best, then effortlessly pivot to professional content creation. And this year, they’re getting even better. With new processors from Intel and AMD, an upgraded CNC-milled aluminum chassis, and new Nebula HDR Displays with OLED panels capable of 1000 nits, these are your ultimate do-anything gaming laptops.
Full steam ahead
At the center of these new machines sit the latest Intel Series 3 Core Ultra processors, which use a modular, tile-based architecture that enables broad flexibility. Handling simple emails and web tasks? Its low-power state will make every minute of battery life count. Playing the latest AAA games? The Core Ultra provides all the performance you need. And with 50 TOPS of NPU compute, you can even execute AI tasks locally. All this pairs beautifully with the ultra-powerful GPU inside, with the Zephyrus G14 featuring up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU and the G16 featuring up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. With excellent performance and features like DLSS 4 and Frame Generation, your games have never looked or run better.
The Zephyrus G14 is also available with a next-gen AMD Ryzen AI processor, which features 50 TOPS of NPU compute performance as well. So whether you’re Team Red or Team Blue, there’s a G14 for you.
Functional and flashy

To make the most use of these powerful chips, we've upgraded the ROG Intelligent Cooling inside the 2026 ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16. A refreshed chassis features the iconic Zephyrus CNC-milled aluminum design, but now sports a redesigned bottom panel. Improved ventilation and an optimized exhaust vent design allow the chips to stay cool and quiet even under heavy load. The new G14 and G16 also feature an improved antenna design on the back of the machine, ensuring a robust connection over its built-in WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
The G14 and G16 maintain their ultra-portable stature, with the G14 weighing in at just 1.5kg and the G16 coming in at just under 2kg. Opt for the head-turning Platinum White colorway or the dark, sophisticated Eclipse Grey model. For a bit of flash, turn on the all-new Slash Lighting array across the lid, which has been upgraded from 7 to 35 individual zones, giving you more intricate animations including indicators like battery percentage. Or, when you want to be stealthy, turn it off for a more professional look.
No gaming battlestation or productivity machine is complete without ample connectivity. Both machines boast dual USB Type-C ports with support for DisplayPort and 100W power delivery, plus Thunderbolt 4 on the Intel variants and USB4 on the AMD models. You also get a pair of USB 10Gbps Type-A ports for your gaming mouse, flash drives, or other legacy peripherals, plus a full-sized HDMI 2.1 port for external displays, and an SD card or microSD card reader (depending on the model). No matter what you’re doing, you can connect the tools that’ll help you stay on top.
Unparalleled immersion

The Zephyrus G14 and G16 turned heads everywhere with the introduction of G-SYNC compatible OLED panels on a gaming laptop. But today, they get even better. Most SKUs in the latest Zephyrus family feature an upgraded OLED display now bearing the ROG Nebula HDR badge, making them stellar options for fluid motion and stunning vibrancy. The OLED panels in these displays support up to 1000 nits of peak brightness, and are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certified. If you haven’t experienced true HDR in gaming yet, it’s time to make the leap — but be careful, because you won’t ever want to go back.
These displays have everything else you could hope for from a high-end OLED panel, too — from high resolutions and refresh rates to NVIDIA G-SYNC, 100% coverage of the cinema-grade DCI-P3 color space, and incredible color accuracy. In fact, every panel now undergoes rigorous factory calibration to ensure an average Delta E of less than 1 in HDR for professional-grade precision and flawless consistency. Combine all that with the durability of Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC and an ambient light sensor that adjusts screen brightness to your surroundings, and the Zephyrus G series is sure to impress.
The new ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 will be available later in 2026, and you can contact your local ASUS representative for more information. For a complete list of all the killer gaming gear ROG is delivering at CES 2026, check out this article.
