The AeroActive Cooler 6 for ROG Phone 5/5s series gives you a stable gaming experience for mobile gaming. The thermoelectric AI cooling system combines software and hardware to automatically detect the temperature of your phone. It communicates this to your ROG Phone’s software, which seamlessly decides which active cooling mode is the best for the current scenario. This prevents overheating and instability issues, while reducing power consumption to maintain a longer battery life, for a better gaming experience. There are three active cooling modes: Cooling mode uses just the fan, Frosty mode adds the thermoelectric chip powered — uniquely — by just the phone, and Frozen mode is the same as Frosty mode but using external power¹ via the side charging port for even more powerful cooling of your ROG Phone.

The AeroActive Cooler 6 for ROG Phone 5/5s series targets cooling airflow directly to hotspots on the back cover of the ROG Phone. The result is that it can lower the surface temperature near the CPU by up to a stunning 20^°C². The centrifugal fan dissipates heat by delivering airflow to the fins, speedily lowering the temperature inside the phone. Excessive cooling could create water condensation, so there’s a built-in humidity sensor with a protection mechanism to prevent this from happening.
