hi guys,

been doing some testing today and I am chuffed lol

I reverted to gpu tweak v 1.10 and I cannot beleive the results I am getting,

on the latest gpu tweak the max stable I could get was 950mhz.

I am now benching completly stable at 1000mhz at 1202v, (3rd green light on pcb)

going to keep pushing now and see how far I get :D

Sweet! Shows that the latest may not always be the best. :)

its looking very promising now lol and I still have 7 levels left on manual pcb voltage increase :D

same settings 1005mhz

looks like ive hit the brick wall, cant get a benchy done past 1005 regardless of increased vcore, worked my way up to max level 10 its a no go,

so I have backed it to 1000 @ 3rd level pcb vcore button seems to be very happy there,

will work on the memory now,

well chuffed though with a 1ghz stable oc with relativity low vcore.

Ill assume that "chuffed" is a good thing lol. Good job, im going to regress to an older version soon also and see what i can get. My max so far is 1027@1.293v (i may be able to do it with less volts but i figured id max just incase) perhaps thats why williampv was getting 1035 on his card.

Im waiting for a knock on my door as the new psu ive ordered shows its on the truck for delivery. Seasonic 1000w platinum and im hoping thats going to give me the clean power i need to push alittle harder now.

Any way you could monitor your cards power usage as i heard that the Matrix can consume about 650w at 950 core @ 1.150v. Just scared to know what 1000core @ 1.2v or 1.3v consumes

yeah its a good thing lol, i will try work more out but I dont see how I can as I cant get past 1000 stable even with max vcore, maybe its my psu but i very much doubt it.

you can get a wall socket meter called kill o watt, it measure the wattage being pulled from the wall ;) 650watt would be total system draw, @ 1000 I would asume around 700watt no more

I have tested some Matrix Platinum Single / SLI during the last days / weeks also and would say following:

(stock) air:
1000 MHZ in all benches - 2/4 cards
1 maxed around 975
1 maxed around 990

water:
not sure, I am not a watercooler (please let me alive :P )
I would expect 1050 on most cards with enough voltage (maybe not allday...) - 1000 MHZ almost sure

LN2:
1550-1600 in 03 almost guaranteed - 2/3 cards I tested with stummerwinter did 1650+ in 03...still holding up for the best single card score in 03 on GTX 580 :D

5780

Stock coolers usually do a good job until 1.3V, it gets critical then when raising the voltage even further on nspector or similar tools that change VID. always be aware that 3D and 2D voltage will differ A LOT when pushing the buttons on the PCB.

Here is some Unigine Heaven DX9 which even owns 7970 2x, 3x and 4x...old benches do not scale well with more cards....when you mostly like "sub dx10 games" you will have another 2-3 years fun with 580...

5781

I hope my 3930K will do 5750+ then I will be able to finally hit 200k in 03 -.-
