Yep, it's very nice. I purchased one for mine G74 as well.

But... it's completely missing the point. I ordered that bag and am returning it because the laptop doesn't fit in the laptop specific slot. If it's not going to do that, why bother.

mine fits fine in the bag that came with it. it was a little tight the first few times, but now that the bag has loosened up a bit, it fits perfectly with no hassle.

Exactly what I'm thinking. What's the point of buying a "laptop bag" if any old bag will work fine? I need a bag that can protect the laptop (read: fit in the laptop compartment) and also have space for at least two or three notebooks and a tablet. I'm in college: I need my notebooks and books (which I "carry" with me on the tablet)!

(I could, though, carry the tablet in my hands. I just need to know if I can carry notebooks in there.)

You mean the G73 bag? Can you fit books with the laptop? Pictures, please?

My G73 fits just barely in the laptop compartment, but it took about a week of use to fit without using some force. Did no harm to the lappy... you could just stuff something in for a week, it will loosen up.
You just need to be careful when closing it because the zip can scratch it, but it is protected after that.

I'll like more pictures too :) I've just ordered this and I REALLY wouldn't like it if it didn't fit my new G74!

..And that same G53/G73/G74/G75 all-black ROG backpack, also fits my G74 like a glove..
Sorry, no pictures to back it up, you "I-don't-believe-it-if-there's-no-photo-of-it" people.:p

The G74 does not fit in the notebook section of the shuttle bag. It does fit very loosely in the unprotected midsection of the bag. Worst part is that's where you keep you mouse, power cord, and accessories. So your laptop will be scratched or dented if you move about. It kinds pisses me off a bit that they would advertise this ROG bag fitting 17" notebook when they it doesn't fit 17" ROG notebook, it might fit other 17" computer thou. In conclusion, the computer does fit, but not where you want it to fit.

Hi there. Are you referring to this backpack? http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=894
If so, my experience tells otherwise. The backpack link is the one that came with my G74.
And as I've said, fits it "like a glove" in the notebook compartment. I carry the G74 on this backpack to work daily,
and have yet to see it scratched or dented..

It's not just me. Some forum members who have this backpack also say the same thing.

EDIT: Just occurred to me that you might be referring to the OP..

I like this old ROG backpack, but don't know if G74 fits in it. I really need a backpack and don't know what to do.

Yep, that's mine too. It fits both the 53 and 73 - nice.
And very manly.
