I believe the G73 has a BIOS reset button on the bottom. See http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/512238-g73jh-asus-bios-reset.html

If that fails to give you access to reset the password, see the recommendations in http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?9792-G53JW-after-password-cant-enter-in-bios

I suspect removing the CMOS battery from the motherboard would accomplish the same thing as the BIOS reset button.

You could also try pressing F4 repeatedly during startup to see if you can access the EasyFlash utility in the BIOS to allow a BIOS update. The problem there would be if you are already at the most recent BIOS, you couldn't proceed further.
