Hi, GamerGirlAlice. You wouldn't know until you try it.. :)

3D watching and/or gaming is a nice option for the more commonly used 2D.
I prefer watching movies that have 3D mode rather than those that haven't.
There are some games I like to play in 3D (e.g. COD Black Ops and MW3, Battlefield 3).
I wish NBA 2K12 was playable in 3D but it's not..
I haven't played Final Fantasy IV and WOW, so no comment for them.

All G74 3D versions have Bluray drives in them.

It's optional for the non-3D versions.

That's the non-3D screen G74SX-DH71. If you want the one with the 3D screen, get the G74SX-DH73.

lol it wasn't even the 3d one. what do u think i can get in to a rog notebook that can play the 2 games i play in what i call eye candy mode. how much do u think it would set me back. i am thinking i may order from powernotebooks.com and was wondering what settings would be the best since i am a multimedia more then a gamer, but like as may graphic features i can get. 3d is nice but to much a pain because i where glasses. so basically what would u all recommend for bluray movies multimedia and gaming with my simple games in eye candy mode???

@surya: A possible reason why you are seeing "double-vision" while watching 3D movies is that
the video player is not recognizing the movie in 3D mode. One explanation is that the movie/s
came from a different "Region Control" from the region where you're in. For example, I can't play
a 3D (bluray) movie from the North American Region because my video player is set for the
Asian Region, and vice-versa. So what I need to do is to re-set the Region Control in the Settings
of my video player.

@GamerGirlAlice: :) I'm not too sure what you meant by "eye candy mode".
One thing I'm sure, though, is that all versions of ROG 15" or 17" G Series would be able
to play your preferred games. But your preference and budget will determine which particular
G Series you'd buy..

Well, what do you know?.. Sometimes I use 3D with the 3D glasses on top of my eyeglasses!..

Ggirl.. any offered with the 1920X1080 that fits your budget (i have seen them for about $1100 up to the customs)
will do the job...modestly stated..to say the least..really..the very least.

Pilgrim- hahah ++ for one thing..you know what its like to play
3d in 3d with 3d glasses over glasses -- you got me there friend...ahhahhaa..
but all sound advice..c.
