Hey All,

Just purchased my new G73JW and im having problems getting the scaling to work.
If i set it to any other resolution apart from native im getting the black bars down the side.

In the nvidia properties i select the option Use Nvidia Scaling, however it does nothing,

Anyone else getting the same issue, or have a solution?

running driver - 8.17.12.6114

OMG stretching to change the aspect ratio drives me crazy (like people who stretch 4:3 video to fill a 16:9 screen), but to each his own...

Can't you choose a resolution with the same aspect ratio as the native?

He wants to use a smaller res to get FPS I believe.

Yeah, but it's my life's mission to preserve aspect ratios everywhere!

Just choose another 16:9 aspect ratio resolution or live with black bars! (that would be my motto if it wasn't such a stupid thing to have as a motto :))

Correct i want to increase FPS, for a 460m video card, my 8800GTX seems to be smoother. playing COD B'Ops at 1920, no AA and low detail seems to be fine, however if you try and crank it it starts to **** the bed..

Might pay to drop a SSD HDD might help, but over all no very impressed with the vid card and performance.
