I've finally got round to putting my build-log up, I thought it may be better placed here rather than the project logs as there ain't much modding going on but feel free to move it of needed.

I'll let the pictures do the talking, but it took me about four hours to build and everything went smoothly first time round.

Enermax Apollish fans, a real PITA to screw in and create threads with brute force.. but they look lovely.

So currently I have the 2600K clocked at 4.5GHz, 35 deg idle, 60 deg load.

Next on the list then:

Fan controller, Scythe Kaze or Lamptron
New PSU - looking at Corsair AX850 or AX1200
SSD - probably Crucial M4 128GB

Well since these pictures I have added quite a few extras.

Lamptron FC6 Fan Controller
Another 8GB Vengeance RAM
Corsair Force 120GB SSD
Corsair AX850W PSU
Xigmatek Fan
UV Flexlight and Red LEDs

Xigmatek fans, got a few to many but may come in handy soon! (Thanks to flame)

Here's how it looked before the new lights and fans..

Looking for an EVGA 580 Backplate..

And now with added UV goodness!

http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/9753/artx.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/580/artx.jpg/)

Can't decide whether to get another 580 next, or build a full custom WC loop with EK blocks, XSPC 360 Rad, 655 Pump, and lots of shiny Bitspower fittings.

Was even considering selling the 580 and buying a 7970.

Is there a special reason you placed your SSD on the motherboard tray? Why you didn't use the bottom HHD cage or hot-swap bay?

Am loving the performance increase, especially noticeable on Crysis 1+2, and Battlefield 3.

I can now max out all these games at 2560x1440 and enjoy framerates in the 50s-60s, what a difference another 580 makes!

My rig is now even louder and hotter though, its crying out for some WC.

Other upgrades:-

3 Phobya RGB flexlights and remote controller
Bitfenix Alchemy sleeved extensions, Red (tough to find)

I am now toying with the idea of selling the U2711 and Samsung to raise cash for three U2312s or maybe U2412s.

"My rig is now even louder and hotter though, its crying out for some WC." - yeah, the 800d wasn't designed for aircooling... Looking forward for your WC design!
