Hi All,

I have searched and researched through various platform including Nvidia graphic card infos, it doesn't give me a clear picture of what i'm trying to clarify.

https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-970M.126694.0.html
"Displays can be connected with a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels via DisplayPort 1.2 or HDMI 2.0 (no HDCP @ 4K)."

https://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-gtx-970m/features
4K is one of the features for supported tech.

And I've read it somewhere that Asus G751 is only equipped with HDMI 1.4 and I think it's either Cnet or similar review site.
Linus has mentioned Asus G751 comes with HDMI 1.4 on one of his review video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6h0y70hneqw

And someone on this forum mentioned that somehow he was able to overcome by just using HDMI 2.0 cable but without any solid evidence. I understand that HDMI 1.4 is capable only at 24hz and HDMI 2.0 at 60hz. Since I do not have any tool to test, I'm not able to research that myself unfortunately.

So I would really appreciate if someone who still has/use G751 with GTX970m and 4K monitor/TV can confirm if 4K is capable on this beast.

My plan is to use G751 as a source of 4K movie via HDMI 2.0 to 4K TV.

For now I'm hoping for good news!
