Hello, I was wondering if a 90watt AC power Bank can power a 501GM for just browsing, YouTube ect no gaming... just extending it run time.

Going to use a 96Wh power Bank AC 90Watt.

Hoping to get 2x run time, to get about 10 hours until i can find a wall outlet on the go.

Will my Test starts now... since no one knows..

Plug my 97WH Battery bank into the GU501GM.... for 20min so far......

The power on windows 10 says i have 10 hours left at 40% screen brightness... on low power mode..

The power count down just stays at 10 hours never changing after 30min

Edit wifi is on as well

Ok pure failure....

This laptop pulling to much watts even when powered down, when i plug in my laptop charger to the power bank AC, but it works great on XPS and Mac book.

If i plug in a lower range laptop charger 80watt range will it work with the battery bank 90 watt with out shutting down?

I got it to work, just had to play with IGPU settings and more power settings now it charges the laptop while it turned off.

So the 97w 90AC power bank charges the GU501GM when you turn all the settings down while laptop in send by mode.

Still using the 180watt laptop charger that come with 501 just plugged in to the power bank.

Edit charges while on too now..

Nice try! I have been scouting an extra AC charger for my GU501. SInce the adapter tips is a uncommon size, I still couldn't find one. All I found was either tip not right, right tip but 230 watt, or expensive. Do you think I can use a 120watt or 230watt without issue?
