I know this isn't related to gaming but haven't been able to get info from other forums.
My laptop came with Win 7 HP which I upgraded to W7 Professional. A while back I removed Roxio CinePlayer (Came preinstalled) and installed PowerDVD 11 Ultra. I was doing some netwoking last night within Windows Medial Center and noticed that I wasn't seeng PDVD showing up as my DVD player. WM7 was defaulting to the built in DVD player. I don't usually play my DVD and BD discs through WM7 but decided I'd like to try it. Anyone have an Idea why I might not be seeing PDVD within WM7?. I know that is does work as I have an HTPC I built (Still using Vista) that PDVD11 is the default player. Could it be that removing Cineplayer (wihich I originally saw in WM7 on the laptop) screwed up a link to WM7?

Sounds like the deafult simply got changed. (Windows' built in programs have a nasty habit of setting themselves as defaults when you use them.)

Hit START -> type "defaults" -> select "Set your default programs" from the Start Menu

In there, you should be able to select PowerDVD as the default player for various kinds of disks.

Thanks,
I was initially playing DVDs from my HDD. Once I put a regular BD disc into the optical drive, WM7 brought up the PDVD icon and I was able to play it within WM7.
