Hi,

My notebook is elligible for a windows 7 upgrade. However, the link provided to register for the upgrade on http://event.asus.com/2009/windows7/ is dead. What should I do?

Thanks,
Haytham

Richard, the website itself works, but there's a link you have to click on in order to "register for upgrade". That link is down:

The page displays: Online Registration is available until Feb 15th, 2010

Haytham, Looks like you missed the boat on this, the page clearly says that the offer is available online only to Feb 2010. Unless one of the (much) more knowledgeable Asus guys responds to tell me different.

most of the G51's sold, if not all, were eligible for this upgrade, but you had to do it pretty soon after you bought it. if you bought it second hand the original owner never sent off for it.

i remember waiting for like 2 or 3 months for my win7 disc to finally come.

students are eligible for a win7 Pro copy for about $30. you need a .edu email addy for it. if you do get it a copy, make sure to do a full format, not the upgrade.
