To update to the latest version of Armoury Crate, reboot and the update will run in the background automatically (do not open Armoury Crate for 10-15 minutes, and plug in the power for notebooks).

Before reporting issues, please make sure you have the latest software and firmware.
Be clear about the key issue. Mark/edit posts which are no longer relevant, tracking multiple posts in several pages not only takes time but the issue becomes unclear.

Armoury Crate 3.3.7.0 or component of is causing unexpected crash when system is not in use.

Removal of Armoury Crate and disabling of the remaining services seems to rectify issue.

No changes made or extra apps installed.
Resent issue, within last 3 weeks.

Unable to install lower version of AC to test which version is good.

Note: AC 3.3.7.0 does not have High Performance pre-set option.

8. Clear description of your issue: It appears that changing the LED numbers for my addressable headers is not reflected by the visual difference in more (or fewer) LEDs showing colors individually

ASUS Mothership GZ700 CPU OC No Longer Working in Armoury Crate.
Before that the disable mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll method worked to restore OC for the CPU.
Now that method no longer works. In addition to the previous issue that was posted on the last release other third party software like Intel XTU and Throttlestop no longer works as Armoury Crate will now force the CPU and GPU revert to stock when the application is running in the background. As soon as I close the app it makes all cores go to default.

If I press the ROG key the profiles for "Turbo" and "Manual" temporarily stick.
Turbo used to keep the CPU at a steady 4.9 GHz across all cores. Now Armoury Crate sticks it to 4.2 GHz and will not let any other program modify it.

Now before I get the answer you can't mix third party software that might conflict with Armoury Crate...I have uninstalled them, tried with just AC...and every thinkable combination. It is indeed Armoury Crate causing the issue.

I didn't pay $6,500 USD for a gaming laptop that can't OC. The lack of response is a little frustrating seeing as a new set of laptops was announced and it seems like ASUS is behaving like Apple and throttling down previous gen products with crap updates which is BS.

Please just update this software or release a BIOS update to allow OC for the ROG GZ700GX please. We need a 304 BIOS UPDATE!

Rollback please i can no longer control both light strip led sizes
if i set 1 to 1 led size it does nothing while the 2e light strip controls both led strip 1 and 2 giving me a uggly appearance for rgb, you keep breaking this further every update makes armoury crate even worse then before, i am not repeating my self over and over again give me working stable vision instead of forced beta update.

My CPU Fan RPM still shows 0. The controls seems to be fine but it would be nice if I could get it to where it needs to be done.

I used the uninstaller tool, restarted the machine, ran the installer -- restarted. waited the requested time frame. Watched task manager to see if the process was still running -- it stopped. I opened AC and checked the version history

Rog spolight does not show after latest updates not just this one the other before, have the same problem, have conected to a USB Hub that has a light in the port fo activity and like i suspected after you conected it shuts of usb is only giving it power armory crate service or light service is not communicating.

Asus for the love of god fix this and the program overall....

Since the armoury crate was updated, my anime matrix in my Zephyrus G14 is no longer working. Anime Matrix tab in armoury crate disappeared

sorry for not following the all the post protocols but

new issues

1 )Please remove the turning wheel light pattern when using the Music Mode, It used to be static but now it cycles colors
2 ) when resuming from sleep or power on theres some sort of hand off to the Lighting profile, during this time the Scope TKL Keyboard changes profiles, please add Armory 2 style "Custom" profile to KEyboards page.

when using the Temp sync, please remove the strobing or add a slider

OK, guys. I have a problem which nobody has ever had. My problem is with GameVisual. Since thu latest update has arrived, my GameVisual has stopped working properly. When I try to open Game Visual tab in Armoury Crate, I keep receiving the following message: GameVisual may not be supported. My notebook is G712LW.

Clear description of your issue - Recently when going to Armoury Crate settings>Update center it states I need to update my 1) ROG MAXIMUS XI FORMULA - Device kit & 2) Addressable LED Strip - Device Kit, but when I press update on either they start to update & get less than 1/4 of the way through the update progression bar when an i in a circle flashes beside the update name & they stop. I can't complete either update. This has happened for both on updates v2.0.2.1 - 7/1/2021 & v2.0.2.2 - 21/1/2021

Clear description of your issue - Recently when going to Armoury Crate settings>Update center it states I need to update my 1) ROG MAXIMUS XI FORMULA - Device kit & 2) Addressable LED Strip - Device Kit, but when I press update on either they start to update & get less than 1/4 of the way through the update progression bar when an i in a circle flashes beside the update name & they stop. I can't complete either update. This has happened for both on updates v2.0.2.1 - 7/1/2021 & v2.0.2.2 - 21/1/2021

Besides all the other problems I've written in the other threads that got no answer and just got closed because "A NEW VERSION CAME OUT"

Can literally anyone help me with MUSIC MODE on Armory Crate, STRIX B550 E.
It only works if either I disable ENHANCEMENTS (which I lose bass and surround and it sounds just crap)
Or if I change my speaker setup from 5.1 SURROUND to STEREO.

Haven't figured a way to have MUSIC MODE to work with 5.1 analog sound....
HELP? ANYONE? :))

Latest software, drivers, bios, etc, however it never worked with 5.1, no matter if I had older versions.

So after the update to this current version added in trying to control my EVGA video card (which does NOT work) and that somehow corrupted my video driver I ended up using the uninstall tool to remove AC and Creator and went back to Aura Sync. That lasted a week after I realized it was causing random BSOD's once a day or more (last one on Sunday was so bad Windows almost couldn't recover and I only fixed by shutting the PC off fully and turning back on). So I removed that, waited two days to verify no BSOD, and put Armoury Crate/Aura Creator back on. Seems to be working "ok" for now.

I've noticed a weird issue though. Setting LED count for my ARGB headers is not working anymore. Previous versions of armoury crate I had strip 2 set to 6 and as you increased from 1-6 you could see a new LED on each of the 4 Fractal Prisma fans I have that are daisy chained light up. Strip 1 has my case's Phanteks RGB hub attached to it which has an LED ring from my reservoir, the built in light strips in the case, and 3 front Prisma fans connected to it. Setting that to 42 used to be the exact number to get all of them to light up. Now no matter what I set Strip 1's count to, nothing changes. However Strip 2 LED count seems to be affecting BOTH headers. I.e. if I set it to 6 to match the Prisma fans connected to it, a large number of LED's on the other header shut off. Setting it to that 42 number lights them all up as expected but that's not the right header in the software.

Yes I rebooted after install and "check for updates" which installed an update for the memory ARGB, then rebooted again.

@flyonion exact issue for me with argb headers, if i set 1 to 21 the other one will be set to 21 also im so frustated by it.
Usually i set one to 21 the other one to 56 so the rgb scales perfectly so for example my fans have 7 leds i could set it to 7 but i multipli it by 3 and set it to that so it spreads the effect properly not to mention it looks better that way, but now i have to set it to 42 so making it so that colors on my fans don't match in size anymore which is so annoying, meaning to not notice that i have to set it on pink to purple pattern for rainbow to not notice that.

So after new update, Armoury Crate and Aura Sync dont detect my Rog Gladius 2.
Aura sync is showing only some generic mouse in devices...even when rog gladius is disconnected.

For the past few days, I have been trying to update the HAL on my video card. Armoury Crate runs the update, it shows as updated with the current date for a few seconds, then reverts to displaying the previous date with the UPDATE button again active. I have already uninstalled AC and all the usual Aura-related programs and restarted, then reinstalled with the latest version, but still get the same issue. I can't find if there might be a separate download of the HAL update I can try to apply.

Per the thread instructions:

At all stages a system restart was performed before the next step. No other applications or programs have errors when running. An uninstall via Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool V1.1.2.0 then reinstalling does not fix the problem.

The absence of services and the lack of a version number other than 0.0.0.0 on LightingService.exe is alarming. I am unsure if the installer is working correctly for me.

Like the Title says, i install them everything works with my rog crosshair viii hero, after some days , i cant see my MB in Armoury Crate, in the Update Center devices disappear . and AURA Creator dont detect any devices at all

I dont want to uninstall and install all the time, fix this crap..

And in the Driver Page , it says that i dont have the Chipset Driver , which is not true

Now today as well as my Armoury crate Update center updates not installing as of 7/1/21 that I have mentioned further up this thread I get the error message stating "Sorry, we cannot finnish the file instillation. Please restart the system & retry (Error code: 12) & I cant control my case, board & lighting strip with Armoury Crate, Aura Sync or iCue. (& yes I have restarted my machine multiple times)

The 3 hardware's doesn't show up on any of the 3 softwares & they just do an anoying rainbow cycle I can't switch off.

I have also noticed that since my innitial issue with Armoury crate update center that all 3 softwares have randomly started picking up my EVGA RTX 2080 which they never did before.

Also today Win did an update: 2021-01 Cumelative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 Win 10 Version 1909 forx64 (KB4598301) , not sure if this has caused any issues.

Asus hal updated and now its less broken, however i have to set 1 led strip to 42 instead of 21 and the other to 84 instead of 56 to get similar scaling, also why is gen 2 limited to 4 devices, i am using a hub with 10 argb fans connected but they are not detected in gen 2, and even tho i have 1 argb led strip connected to other port that one is not detected either in gen 2 even tho there only 1 argb device attached to my 2e argb header is this broken ?

I did send a PM with the log file link, but just to be doubly sure for anyone else experiencing the same problem. I noticed about a week and a half ago a 'Bad Image' dll error on startup for the ArmouryCrate service. I'll get 3 or so on startup followed by another 1 to 3 about an hour afterwards. I uninstalled the app completely which obviously stopped the error. I downloaded the latest version off the Asus website and installed it to find the same error.

8. Clear description of your issue: On windows startup I will get the following error: ArmouryCrate.AppServiceBridge.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\System32\cdp.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.

Also, now the pattern for lighting effect seems broken. The pattern does a "carrousel" effect (the whole ram sticks oscilate the colors of the pattern, before the Ram sticks lighted up using a "fixed" pattern, it is hard to explain, I'm adding two short videos to add context. Basically I achieved a cool VU Meter effect, now it does the "rainbow" style and it just sucks. Previous version was "fine".1

Come on guys, even widely known awful software like CAM is getting updated, fixed and get new features with each update... we expect no less from Asus.
Please fix the pattern or add an option to choose Fixed or "dynamic" mode. OR instead of doing the installation web based just release old version as standalone programs... previous version was far from perfect but at least it kinda worked ok.

UPDATE: It appears that after using the uninstall tool and then the install tool for Armoury Crate that the handles stopped increasing for the lightningservice.exe
instead, it's climbing for another process that I have reason to believe came bundled with Armoury Crate. It's also a process I have never seen before: Aac3572MbHal_x86

Update Center shows there's HAL update for my Crosshair VIII Impact (v1.1.4.0 from Jan 28, 2021).
However, pressing Update only finishes half-way, stops (clearly unexpectedly.
Then, "Update" button greys out, says I should reboot and check again but this never works.
At one point I also saw an "Error 12"

5. Yes. Did a fresh install of windows from the start, my issue still occurs

7. Before the armoury crate release, it was working like a charm on AURA Sync Software.
8. My mobo's integrated rgb strip wont sync with the rest of the setup. RAM and Case's lighting are always in sync. But the x470's onboard rgb is always off. armoury crate wont detect it. There have been moments when the onboard rgb is detected, syncs for a bit and then it shuts off again... Yes, aura sync is enabled in bios.. Tried BIOS reset, older BIOS Flash, none worked. Reinstalled the armoury crate, nothing.

Cant acces to either Rog Throne or Rog Balteus through armory crate.It says device error page.
I never able to acces to RoG Throne tbh, i only acces to both device through RoGarmory ,but i recently unistall this software , cuz after i get Asus Keris Wireless it constantly get crash on this software on startup.Reinstalled the software doesnt help.
And also after today Balteus update i get this constantly :

SMART lighting feature in Aura Sync > Aura Effects freezes PC, turns display signal off and PC becomes hard locked requiring hard power down by turning off PSU and draining capacitors by holding down power button with PSU disabled; case power and reset buttons don't work after hard freeze within minute of enabling SMART lighting effect, freeze repeats after reboot until Armoury Crate is opened and SMART lighting effect is turned off.

1. X470-F, 2700X PC, Thermaltake 650W Gold PSU, 5700XT Nitro+, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM
2. X470-F Motherboard, 2x Phanteks 30 LED aRGB strips connected to 5V aRGB header
3. Corsair h115i Pro AIO, Corsair LL120 fans and lighting node pro, Corsair 2x8GB Vengeance RGB Pro RAM, Corsair K70 MK2 SE keyboard, iCUE running WITHOUT plugins active so using Armoury Crate Aura Sync ONLY for X470-F motherboard lighting and connected Phanteks lighting strips. iCUE controls ONLY 4X Corsair devices. There was HAL update on yesterday 21/2/3, I updated, rebooted and turned on SMART lighting effect, PC display turned off and Reset and Power buttons on PC would not work. had to turn off power supply and drain capacitors by holding down power button to get PC to restart.
8. REPEAT of 7 since HAL update maybe pertinent to both Version and Description. I open Armoury Crate daily to turn on static RGB in morning, turn off before shutting down PC. There was HAL update on yesterday 21/2/3, I updated, rebooted and turned on SMART lighting effect, PC display turned off and Reset and Power buttons on PC would not work. had to turn off power supply and drain capacitors by holding down power button to get PC to restart.
PC froze again less than one minute after all background applications loaded and repeat of same procedure. Repeat restart and Windows Recovery screen appears, cancelled that and immediately opened Armoury Crate while background apps loading after login and turned off SMART lighting effect to static and problem has not occurred since, until forcing it again just now to generate the requested Log file. PC was basically idle, just using Edge browser and SMART lighting showing green color flickering shades and green to yellow while booting into windows.
9. No screen shots, PC display turns off and PC freezes.
10. Log created on 21/02/04 of PC freezing after turning on SMART lighting effect. Cycled through other lighting effects for about 1 minute each, no problems, PC froze this time after 5 minutes of having SMART effect enabled. I don't ever use this feature but tried it after the latest HAL update. Will send in PM as requested.

My argb is randomly turning off and on or glitching and strip size is supose to be 21 but scales like its ugly this was working before in past now im fixed to 42 strip size and 84 for another, while it should be at 21 and 56 please fix this is not useable.
It feels like the app is randomly crashing or something.
Please bring back old working vision before i start lawsuit im getting seriously annoyed of my rainbow effect randomly going out of sync as if the lightningservice.exe decided to crash and restart this is annoying.
Those that have not seen issue yet i suggest you do a staring contest with your rgb set and you eventually see the problem also especially with rgb settings that need perfect loop.

can't belive it happend but it did. my mainboard is recognized by ArmoryC and i can control my lights ;) for the first time.

On Strix RTX 30 series you can't select the lighting effect Starry night. That does't exists in selection.

ASUS Armoury Crate installs NoiseCancelingEngine.exe into c:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ArmouryDevice\dll\MBLedSDK\. Then an entry to Windows Task Scheduler is made to run this after user logon. That means that this EXE is in fact "Run at Startup".
The issue is that this NoiseCancelingEngine.exe prevents Windows 10 to fall into sleep mode. Realtek HD Audio is reported by powercfg /requests when NoiseCancelingEngine.exe is running.

I DID NOT install the Two-way AI Noise Cancelation feature but nevertheless the NoiseCancelingEngine.exe is there by default and running and preventing sleep mode.

This is not really what users want. Setting sleep delay in AI Suite is useless then because the sleep is never entered.

I now I can disable startup directly in Windows Task Scheduler but I also think that things should be installed correctly by default.

BTW the samy applies to Sonic Studio Virtual Mixer. It needs to be disabled in Sound device config to allow sleeping. Seems anything using sound card prevents sleep. But Sonic is not directly related to Armoury Crate but the NoiseCancelingEngine.exe is.

Things to note I've used the uninstall tool & then reinstalled using ArmouryCrateInstaller v3.0.11.0, then opened Armoury crate the devices tab
was showing but the devices could not be controlled & stated that a restart is required, I Restarted, opened Armoury crate devices tab won't load, instead after a while get the Service Error Message

Edit: Update the devices tab showed up today (10/02/21).
However, it's only My GPU & Motherboard, not the headset, all I did way reboot with the headset in a different port,
it was previously plugged into the USB 3.1-C, on my motherboard (now plugged into USB 3.1-A with the included adapter,
maybe it some kind of driver issue, will try a different port later & update this post then.

UPDATE: It appears that after using the uninstall tool and then the install tool for Armoury Crate that the handles stopped increasing for the lightningservice.exe
instead, it's climbing for another process that I have reason to believe came bundled with Armoury Crate. It's also a process I have never seen before: Aac3572MbHal_x86

its dead again it happens from time to time, everyone knows the program is still an will be in Beta, my spotlight does not work and amoung other things, a problem tha comes and goes is when i turn system on it will do RGB only when its in the OS some time it turns all the lights an the boot sequence, iam tired of putting the info here and nothing happens.

[Software request for developers] : In the next version of Armoury Crate it's possible by default to have Aura Sync feature disabled and let to the user to decide which Asus Rog's components to sync?

Because during the installation of the software and after on somes Asus Rog components the default colors changes to another.

This happens when on the Pc there are more than one Asus Rog component

In my case, if I want default colors for each component, I can't because Armoury Crate change them.

This is the screenshot, although is not doing it right now because i rolled back with Windows System Restore so i can have it sync the profiles with my games. I can still replicate the issue, all i have to do is update the mouse device kit :(

You shouldn't really be forcing updates on us, my grandpa always said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Now i have a forced update to break my mouse. :( And i cant adjust DPI and other settings, see last pic.

Latest armory crate update breaks motherboard integration with iCue, as numerous others have reported. My whole lighting setup is broken now (why do I even bother with RGB nothing ever works right, it's a nightmare).

Strix 3080 still accepts lighting commands but motherboard does not. Going to a really old version of iCUE's ASus plugin makes the motherboard work but then my graphics card is no longer detected...

Why, why can't we keep older versions of armory crate? I would never update it if I have to spend hours fixing this crap (or having no fix at all).

when you guys follow my advice people tend to be happy.

just compile a new version and bring a installation based uninstaller to the table on the new installer a reboot and installation starts again upon reboot with new version and all the settings.

one of you major problems is that this is buggy and full of errors like hell and this way it would improve 40% and resolve a lot of issues. it would still be a semi broken app but it would be better then it is right now.

you guys are ASUS for god sake fix this its been broken for alot of time, or at least release the code and let us fix it .

I have the same problem as of version 3.2.4.0! No body answer me in the previous thread and it seems in current versions the bug is still present, so the bug isn't fixed obviously and you dissapoint me.

Also I should mention that I have used the uninstaller (to uninstall the previous version) and after that i installed new version. The problem was fixed for a while but few days ago it just happen again, and I'm tired of uninstall/install everytime when the problem appears.

Well, this is weird. With 3.3.7.0 I clicked on my R6EE board and the OLED settings were not available. ?? Worked OK a few hours before with no problems at all. Only the shutdown effect, addressable headers, and RGB headers were available to change. I simply rebooted and the OLED settings were again available. ?? Hardware in my sig. Quite peculiar.

I have a Rampage VI extreme omega motherboard and a Strix rtx 30 series graphic card.

When i save a ligtning effect on graphic card and suspend my computer, when i restart my activity the graphic card lighting effect change to breathing with red light. I try to reinstall but nothing work with this problem.

- After updating the Armoury Crate to 3.3.7.0 the audio setting for my Strix Fusion 700 doesn't seem to be working, changing any setting in there doesn't affect the sound and the test sound button on the "Virtual Surround Sound" cease to work after the update. Also the battery percentage in the power tab of ROG Chakram setting is unreliable because it's always fluctuating (sometimes it went from 100 to 0 in 5 min, some other day it stays at 100 for a whole day without plugging it in)

I have a Razer 15 Laptop

I picked up Asus ROG Delta S headphones. I am trying to run Armoury Crate, to adjust the headphones settings. Enable Atmos, change equalizer, etc.

The app will not run for the life of me. It opens briefly, shows the splash screen / logo, then closes. I tried running Aura Creator also, to the same effect. I've uninstalled and installed multiple times, disabled antivirus, etc. Nothing will work.

Any help is much appreciated, Thanks!

For anyone that thinks open rgb is a viable alternative it is not, the lastest open rgb if you run it can turn of your chipset fan and it does this almost consistently your chipset temps wil go up rapidly from 64c to 77c
Asus this is why i hate you so much when you keep breaking your software, you really should have a beta option and a stable release option you giving me no choice then to buy a motherboard from another brand if you keep ignoring feedback.

Hi.

I have ROG STRIX B460-H, and the armoury crate only shows gen 1 header and i have been told that even though the Gen 2 header is available it does not detect the attached RGB strips, any else has this issue?

I have made a complaint and they came back and said if you connect RGB fans it wont detect but i have only ws2812b strips connected.

I think the armoury crate is missing some updates.

3. I'm not sure if the drivers for my Sound Blaster Z qualify as third-party audio software, but they are the only thing on my machine which might count as third-party peripheral, audio, or lighting software.

5. Yes, I reinstalled Windows and it did not fix this issue.

7. Version 1.07.79 of the old Aura Sync software did not have this problem.

8. The RGB lighting on my ROG Pugio I mouse keeps freezing up. At some point after a reboot, the RGB lighting will stop changing and remain fixed at whatever colour it was at the moment it froze. This happens no matter what setting I use in Armoury Crate (Color Cycle, Rainbow, etc). The timing of the freezing is very inconsistent; sometimes it happens in under 10 minutes, other times I can get over 12 hours before it freezes up. I should also mention that rebooting does fix it, temporarily.

In my case seems the culprit for Armoury Crate or installer not working anymore, or unable to finish install is Adrenalin 2020 Edition 21.2.3 Optional. The latest AMD update broke all functionality.

Got a new symptom to report. A few days after this new row showed up in my AC software ENE_QSI_Loki_HAL 1.0.3.0, I noticed by sheer accident that if the Asus System Controller driver isn't fully/correctly loading up with the system start up that the AC software doesn't properly show the CPU Fan RPM speed. However, if it is, *assuming I wait a few minutes for my computer to load background processes* the AC software Does display the CPU Fan Speed. On top of that it seems that the the ability for the machine to keep itself cooled more accurately seems to be better as well.

Here's how I noticed this. One morning when starting up my machine I noticed that the charging capacity on my machine wasn't limited to where it ought to be. The MyASUS app struggled greatly to launch **AND** the CPU Fan speed wasn't showing up -- showed 0 RPM.

I restarted the machine, waited a few minutes and then tried again and now it's showing up! While it's to soon to say for certain that This Is the Solution to my odd issue -- I could see it making sense.

However there is one behavior that I cannot figure out. What installs the fifth row in the app? the ENE_QSI_Loki_HAL 1.0.3.0 row? When that shows up the product seems to work like it ought to -- assuming that the Asus System Controller driver launches appropriate.

Another behavior to report,. In the Device Manager next for Armoury Crate Control Interface And Asus System Controller Interface it states "no drivers installed." However in the My Asus App , normally if there is a driver not installed the App notifies me -- has a numeric digit next to "drivers and tools" (i.e "Drivers and Tools (1)" ).

Also, I've noticed in the past that if I didn't have the driver for either installed, unwanted behavior occurred. From the charging factor not staying at the capacity I had chosen, or the AC software Fan RPM speed not showing up correctly respectively for each driver.

Can anyone else replicate better App behavior given what I just pointed out?

One last thing to ask -- what is Supposed to "install" that last row, ENE_QSI_Loki_HAL 1.0.3.0 ? It doesn't seem that the app installer does it, if it's supposed to?

Finally, before system specs, on this build I used a bootable USB drive created from the Microsoft Media Creation tool. I've noticed previously that if I don't do that, for some reason up First Boot the machine Somehow has the Asus System Controller driver installed -- even if I didn't intentionally put it on there, as well as some strange traces of the Amoury Create Software found in task manager. Finally, I didn't use the drivers specifically provided by Asus, but rather though Windows Update.

The Armoury Crate software (now version 3.3.7.0) no longer allows me to modify the lighting configuration on the MSI Z390 motherboard or the MSI GEFORCE RTX2080Ti video card. The immediately past version of Armoury Crate worked OK but after the update to v3.3.70 the program doesn't even see my motherboard or graphics card lighting options. I have a copy of the installation program for the previous version but it apparently contacts network sources and installs the latest version of Armoury Crate anyway. How can I revert back to a working copy?

8. Clear description of your issue: Music effect does nothing when selecting other than Nvidia HDMI audio to UHDTV. Selecting Sound Blaster Z as windows audio device = not a single led turns on. Going back to HDMI nvidia Audio all working "normal".

Also, now the pattern for lighting effect seems broken. The pattern does a "carrousel" effect (the whole ram sticks oscilate the colors of the pattern, before the Ram sticks lighted up using a "fixed" pattern, it is hard to explain, I'm adding two short videos to add context. Basically I achieved a cool VU Meter effect, now it does the "rainbow" style and it just sucks. Previous version was "fine".1

Come on guys, even widely known awful software like CAM is getting updated, fixed and get new features with each update... we expect no less from Asus.
Please fix the pattern or add an option to choose Fixed or "dynamic" mode. OR instead of doing the installation web based just release old version as standalone programs... previous version was far from perfect but at least it kinda worked ok.


A few little updates were released today for Aura Kit (memory and Addresable led strip), still no fixes for previous issue. :(

hello, I'm having problems with the RGB synchronization of my XPG Adata memories.
The memory models are: XPG SPECTRIX -> AX4U320038G16-DT60

After some updates, RGB is not synchronizing with my Rog Strix B550-F motherboard. After a few minutes, the LED on one of the memories stops working, so I need to restart the synchronization in the Armory Crate application to synchronize to Rainbow again and even then, after some time, it happens again.

I have already reinstalled the application and also updated the BIOS after this started to occur and it has not been resolved. What should I do?

Rog spolight does not show after latest updates not just this one the other before, have the same problem, have conected to a USB Hub that has a light in the port fo activity and like i suspected after you conected it shuts of usb is only giving it power armory crate service or light service is not communicating.

Asus for the love of god fix this and the program overall....

The product had been working fine for quite sometime. There have been no changes to the PC; e.g. no recent hardware upgrades or add ons. It just stopped working after some Armoury Crate update I suppose. I am unable to update the HAL and my RGB devices are no longer recognized in Armoury Crate, though interestingly they are successfully recognized in Aura Creator see screenshot.

Steps To Reproduce error:
a) Launch Armoury Create app
b) Click Update Center tab (Update is available notification)
c) Note TUF Gaming X570-Plus HAL has update available
d) Click Update button
RESULT: Error message:
Sorry, we cannot finish the file installation. Please restart the system and retry. (Error code: 12)

Lotta updates loaded and afterwards Armoury could only see the RAM, Aura, nothing. Tried uninstall/reinstall and now neither can see anything. Armory shows error code 12 when I try to update the HAL, AC shows error code 13.

Tried uninstall/reinstall both products and each solo. Cleared the folders and registry between install. Nothing works. Only thing I haven't tried is a complete OS wipe.

ANY help would be appreciated!

Still the same problem, can I ask what are you doing?

I just updated again my GLADIUS II ORIGIN mouse (and all the devices) hoping for a fix and I can't access it's settings, can't control lighting, dpi, nothing. It will say disconnected for about 30minutes. (SEE IMAGE)

It's been almost two months with no change, do I need to wait every time I start the computer for 30min to start gaming or working? A fully branded RoG top to bottom?

Do you want to drive away your fan base?

Can you give me the chance to use old software that work normally?

Until I have this solved I will delay my 3 next RoG purchases that I was really excited to get my hands on... :(

Not sure if this will work for anyone else but here are the steps I took (they probably are not all needed):
I uninstalled everything from ASUS
I ran the uninstall tool
I started deleting everything left in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS folder
As I found files that were in use and couldn't be deleted I figured out what services that needed to be terminated and killed those services. Then I finished deleting everything.
I deleted everything in C:\Users\icowb\AppData\Local\ASUS
I ran CCleaner and removed everything Asus
I ran it again, it found more
I rebooted and ran it again, it found more
I ran it again and it was clean
For good measure (might not have been needed) I rebooted again
I reinstalled Armoury and it worked
I reinstalled everything else from Asus I wanted
Huge pain, poorly maintained software. Very sad that Asus makes great hardware and chooses not to support it to the level it deserves to be supported.

laptop, I get error message "null window: Nvidia Web Helper.exe Application Error" and sometimes " null window: AsusOSD.exe
Application Error" I'm thinking this might have to do with Armoury Crate but I have no idea. This error stops the laptop from restarting
or shutting down so it's very annoying.

Latest armory crate update breaks motherboard integration with iCue, as numerous others have reported. My whole lighting setup is broken now (why do I even bother with RGB nothing ever works right, it's a nightmare).

Strix 3080 still accepts lighting commands but motherboard does not. Going to a really old version of iCUE's ASus plugin makes the motherboard work but then my graphics card is no longer detected...

Why, why can't we keep older versions of armory crate? I would never update it if I have to spend hours fixing this crap (or having no fix at all).

Did you ever manage to fix this?

UPDATE: It appears that after using the uninstall tool and then the install tool for Armoury Crate that the handles stopped increasing for the lightningservice.exe
instead, it's climbing for another process that I have reason to believe came bundled with Armoury Crate. It's also a process I have never seen before: Aac3572MbHal_x86

So you are saying every aura device should have its own USB port with no hubs? would not be a problem save one thing. From my tower to my work apave is a 15 ft run. The cables on the PAG35 monitor is one thing, its a USB 3.0 printer cable basically and I can make that whatever I want and it is a direct run. The Spatha amd core keyboard is another story. I wont make a 15 ft run and must be connected to a powered 7 port hub. Now that Ive yanked the core and the spatha and replaced them with them with a corsair K100 and dark core SE mouse along with a mm800 polaris pad the RGB workks flawlessly except the PG35VQ as the other caveat to get the motherboard to sync with Ique is having to us aura 1.07..79_V2/ install crate and its a bust. All the corsair products work but the motherboad will not and the montor will only work with crate installed, Ique uninstalled and I ge the MOBO and Monitor only. The core has had a mind of its own since the day I bought it. I run multiple Aqaero devices though an internal powered USB hub because I have no choice. $850 R6EE MOBO has one USB 2.0 header. The only thing I have issue with are the ASUS devices. Get those guys locked in the basement a new cappuccino machine. Id give the benefit of a doubt if every rgb device out there had issues. Even the cheap POS hue works without issues. Just ASUS devices and aura/crate. Good concept, poor execution.

I am using a Zephyrus G14 wiht 3 USB ports, dont tell me I cannot use more than 3 devices connected !!!!!

What is increible is that after two months that this buggy release has been published, no solution or workaround has been provided and no rollback also proposed.
We all bought Asus accesories because they are good but no devices are good enough if no software can manage them

Check why ROGLiveService.exe, version : 1.1.16.0 is crashing (module ucrtbase.dll) and rewrite your entire software maybe
, it could be faster than solving reccurent issues

As mentioned previously, our software needs to pass tests with various configurations before they are released and that is why updates may not be so fast. For this reason, it is best to generate a log and provide it. We have already tested the Spotlight and found no issues on our end.

The final version of the Aura Sync software will be released in the near future for those of you who still have older devices, and wish not to deal with updates. As for Armoury Crate, the Windows environment is ever changing and so we must progress along with it to avoid possible conflicts with latest updates.

What is increible is that after two months that this buggy release has been published, no solution or workaround has been provided and no rollback also proposed.
We all bought Asus accesories because they are good but no devices are good enough if no software can manage them

Check why ROGLiveService.exe, version : 1.1.16.0 is crashing (module ucrtbase.dll) and rewrite your entire software maybe
, it could be faster than solving reccurent issues

Not to be rude but I still have to confirm the following:

Keris working flawless connected directly to pc , before Keris i had Gladius wireless 2 connected to the exact same hub and worked fine,i have 1 more device to the same hub wich work fine as well. Just when i connect mouse to the hub on usb not responding, it magically started to work once , but after i restart my pc didnt work anymore so i started connect it to pc and worked without a problem for 2 months.

depuis quelques jours je ne suis plus capable d accéder aux paramètres de ma souris pour les réglage performance ,Led, calibration etc...... mais elle est capable de se synchronisé avec aura sync pour les LED avec le reste de mon portable meme dans profile je ne la vois plus pour l inclure ou non sinon elle fonctionne mais ne plus avoir accès a ses paramètre est vraiment moche haha loll c'est arrive a la suite d'une charge avec le câble fourni d origine mon ordinateur portable ROG Strix G512LI_G512LI Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10300H CPU @ 2.50GHz windows 10 pro et toute mes mise a jours sont faite j ai l'ordi ainsi que la souris depuis 1 mois flambant neuf merci d avance si vs êtes en mesure de m'aider avec mon petit problème merci beaucoup 😄ðŸ˜Å*

As mentioned previously, our software needs to pass tests with various configurations before they are released and that is why updates may not be so fast. For this reason, it is best to generate a log and provide it. We have already tested the Spotlight and found no issues on our end.

The final version of the Aura Sync software will be released in the near future for those of you who still have older devices, and wish not to deal with updates. As for Armoury Crate, the Windows environment is ever changing and so we must progress along with it to avoid possible conflicts with latest updates.

Although I understand your reasons, the time it takes between versions of AC takes too long. 2 months and still no changes, I don't even know if they are working on the bug that I published nor do I know if they will. That is why you should at least release the older versions of Armory Crate to use the ones that works best for us even if they don't get support.

By the time we have a fairly good version of the software, our motherboards or peripherals will no longer be even recent, that is, two months ago I wanted to show my build, now I only think about never buying Asus again in my life.

Really please, listen to your customers.

Hello, I am a rog spatha user and I have a problem with the version of armory crate v3.3.7.0. When I turn on the computer, it shows that the connection between the armory crate program and asus rog spatha and rog strix scope has been lost. I will not be able to do it if I want to make a very urgent adjustment relevant. And rog spatha it misrepresents the remaining battery percentage. I installed the Armory 2 program. To see the battery percentage, it shows that it has 40% charge, the dock light is green, but when I look at the armory crate program, the battery shows 25%.

It turns out that now it does not light up and only after logging in with my user and waiting a few minutes it lights up and with errors (for example: I have the rainbow lighting applied that changes from left to right and when the error gives me the keyboard is totally poorly lit (that is, keys with colors that have nothing to do with the subject, keys that are off, do not move and some with colors with high brightness and others with very low brightness). What bothers me is that the lighting is not active before logging in because I can't see the lyrics. A and another thing, it gives me a service error every now and then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it continues the same

I believe that this problem has existed with many versions of Armory Crate, so it seems to be an ongoing issue.

There a new "pop up" saying "Default" every time I boot up my laptop (Which I think is from GameVisual).

The "pop up" is like the one that you switch fans mode from "silent" to "performance".

AutoConnectHelper.exe seems to be the cause here. Which is a plugin for Armoury Crate. Can you check that plugin?

Same here, it asks to update and restart but still asking to update after the reboot in order to manage our devices.
Who let his kid working with this software at Asus ????

Which version of Armoury Crate are you using?
I had previously reported a bug that Music would do nothing if I chose something different than NVIDIA HDMI audio, Choosing any source of the Soundblaster Z would make any music effect stop working. After update 4.0.8.0, Swaping between HDMI AUDIO and SBZ makes the SBZ works but only a few minutes, after that it stops working until you reopen AC OR Swap to HDMI and then back to SBZ.

EFFECTS NOT WORKING after switching audio source is present since version 3.2.4.0 and light PATTERN got broken on version 3.3.7.0 (that was 2 months ago).
PLEASE RELEASE VERSION 3.3.7.0 as STANDALONE install while you keep working on AC, Really...

Also, now the pattern for lighting effect seems broken. The pattern does a "carrousel" effect (the whole ram sticks oscilate the colors of the pattern, before the Ram sticks lighted up using a "fixed" pattern, it is hard to explain, I'm adding two short videos to add context. Basically I achieved a cool VU Meter effect, now it does the "rainbow" style and it just sucks. Previous version was "fine".1

Come on guys, even widely known awful software like CAM is getting updated, fixed and get new features with each update... we expect no less from Asus.
Please fix the pattern or add an option to choose Fixed or "dynamic" mode. OR instead of doing the installation web based just release old version as standalone programs... previous version was far from perfect but at least it kinda worked ok.

I had ROG Balteus Qi for almost 2 years and it suddenly stopped working last year around July. I thought it became faulty when I cleaned it with slightly damp cloth. Armoury Crate can no longer detect it and it is saying device descriptor failed. I tried reinstalling Windows and all sorts but still it gets device descriptor failed. I decided to purchase ROG Balteus without the Qi coz i love the aesthetics. However, just last week, it also had the same issue. I now noticed that a lot of folks have reported this. It could have been the reason why they phased out Balteus. I just wanted to know if there is anyway that ROG can send a manual firmware/driver patch to fix this. Refer to screenshot of device manager. I already tried attaching both Balteus' to different computers and both of them get the same error

The installer gets stuck at the part where its detecting components, and it just stays stuck there. I can terminate it, but every time I reboot, it is again trying to install itself and getting stuck at exactly the same point.
I have tried using the Armory crate uninstall tool, and it runs, and appears to do its job, but then once again if I reboot, it is again trying to install itself and failing to do so. Cannot seem to get rid of the damn thing - very frustrating on a brand new build. I read somewhere else someone claimed removing their gpu allowed the software to install, so I went ahead and tried that, and that failed as well.
I also have a Strix G17 laptop with a 10750H / RTX 2070 and this has never had a issue with armory crate etc but then it came pre-installed of course.
How can I get rid of this software? Or get it installed so that it can be uninstalled as normal?

Left it go for what seemed like ages, and it finally decided it had failed to install on its own also... can't win!

This is not relevant to what vision of armoury crate i am using but i discovered potentially a bug and perhaps it could be made a feature.
When you have corsair memory the rgb go's down left first and out of sync down on right module, while if you have sticks that support aurasync they always sync up, can i have option to make 1 effect go up as example and the other one down or run synchronized ? its not big deal be nice if made a feature thanks.

I pulled an older installer from my laptop for amoury crate, and ran that on my desktop. It still stalled at the same point, but after leaving it for a few minutes, completed successfully. On running it, it updated itself to the latest version ok. I think there must be something corrupted in the current latest version available for download. Perhaps it just needs to be replaced with a clean copy.

Which version of Armoury Crate are you using?
I had previously reported a bug that Music would do nothing if I chose something different than NVIDIA HDMI audio, Choosing any source of the Soundblaster Z would make any music effect stop working. After update 4.0.8.0, Swaping between HDMI AUDIO and SBZ makes the SBZ works but only a few minutes, after that it stops working until you reopen AC OR Swap to HDMI and then back to SBZ.

Whichever the most recent version is, which if I read it correctly is 4.0.8.0

Following some component updates a few days back, I am now having exactly the same problem that you have described, in that music response now works on my Soundblaster Z card, but only for about 10-15 minutes then the LEDs just turn off again. Switching from music to another effect and then back again restores the audio response, but only for a while. So, for a while at least, the strips around my TV do work and it does look pretty sweet :D.

I seem to have the most luck if I wait about 5 minutes from when I first power it on, and then an additional 10 minutes before actually launching the app to get the AC to show the fan RPM speed.

After installing the latest update (4.0.8.0), Armoury Crate stopped detecting my RAM and GPU (RTX 3090) to the point that I cannot control their lights.
This is beyond frustrating trying to make it work. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software but no juice. This really needs to get fixed.

After update 4.0.8.0 I cannot enter into the motherboard settings to change the OLED screen. After repairing the application from windows apps settings, the appliccation starts and closes immediately.

After update to 4.0.8.0 My Ryujin360 cannot remember the last livedash setting turn off oled or monitor mode. When I restart the windows or turn on my computer it change to default screen it show the ROG logo. I must open armoury crate to setting everytime when I log in to windows

I gave Armoury Crate 4.0.8.0 a new chance last week. It was about a year ago I attempted last time and it was a nightmare of issues.
This time it installed fine and all but my memory was found. However, I see that Armoury crate still disturbs and conflicts with other applications, high cpu usage etc.. And everytime I shutdown the computer one ore more random services crash out with an error. It's sad that ASUS went this road with a unified application that only made things even worse then before.
I have again been forced to uninstall this software from my computer and that with help from this forum. Sad also that ASUS make an software that cannot be uninstalled the normal way without issues. Truly sad.

I might try the software again next year. Time will tell, but I will not recommend anyone to by any hardware from ASUS until the software bundled with it works again. Worlds best hardware and worlds worst software.

I've only had occasional issues with AC in the past and I don't use the Aura portion, so I've been okay keeping it installed. But this last week has been hell. Dozens of events and errors and parts of the app crashing and the Aura unsuccessfully trying to uninstall itself 10 times a day. There were probably 100 unsuccessful uninstalls. I was unable to uninstall any of it manually, and I finally had to do a system restore (which comes with it's own issues) so I could uninstall the older version of it. And I'm not even 100% certain it's all the way gone.

I'll probably install it again once it seems fixed "enough" because I have no idea how to control the fans without it. My laptop (ROG GU502GV) is pretty basic and doesn't seem to have the configuration options others have. So I feel stuck with AC if I want to game at all.

Rainbow effect is very broken with g.skill memory if you have 4 sticks 1 part will flash differently color out of sync randomly on 1 of the 4 sticks and always on a different stick, not just with my memory also fan rgb its not a perfect loop as if its randomly restarting effect, its very vissible and very noticeable with 4 sticks of ram, when i had corsair ram 1 rainbow went up 1 went down with it being controlled by armoury crate, while with 4 sticks of g.skill they all go down and it looks awfull it looks better if i unsync it and without issues im still wondering at this point why i run rgb software that cant even work properly, the last 2 armoury crate visions completly broke rgb effects

It was about a year ago since I last tried Crate, and I'm still holding out. As for the rest of your post, I completely agree. Everything I have is Asus, but I'm afraid I've already started looking at other brands for my next build. Just can't deal with the software Asus puts out any more.
